The clutch needs to be set to have small amount, like 1/2 inch or 10% of FREE TRAVEL, measured at the pedal. This is to be sure that the clutch is fully released and pressure is off of the release bearing.

The clutch is not adjustable it is fully hydraulic. That means it is self adjusting, if the clutch pedal engages high on the pedal and the clutch is hard to push you need a new clutch plate and pressure plate.

I need to adjust my clutch on a 1998 ford zx2

Your vehicle has a hydraulic clutch, and there really is no "adjustment." Verify fluid level in the clutch fluid reservoir, and consider replacing clutch plates if you are experiencing slipping.

How adjust the clutch on 2001 ford mustang 3.8

Per the Ford owners manual:

The clutch on your

vehicle is operated by

a cable. As necessary, adjust the clutch as described

below.

1. Turn the engine off and shift into 1 (First).

2. Put your foot under the clutch pedal and gently

pull it up until the pedal stops.

3. Push the clutch pedal down slowly. You will hear a
click as the clutch adjusts itself.
