If the engine light is blinking then u have a dead miss, could be as simple as a spark plug or wire, but I've seen several coil packs go out on just one cylinder and usually under a load.. Code will be p030? Whatever number is listed at the end is the problem cylinder, if it was p0304, that means cylinder #4 is the problem. Hope this helps.

Go to a local Napa, or Shucks automotive store and ask for the computer to plug into your vehicle and have it give you codes. Take those codes to the employee at which ever automotive store you went to and he'll tell you what issues you have.

Could be that you have one or more brake lines rotting internally and plugging the line. Check for a soft spot in the brake lines.

Hi:
You most likely are tripping a MAP sensor out of range code 22, and should check it out, especially the vacuum line going to it, and any other vacuum line under the hood,

Here is a list of codes for you

My 89' ford ranger 2.3L idles fine stalls in gear a lot wont go up above 2k rpms when it isnt stalling

you have a restriction in your exhaust system. It might be the catylitic converter plugged or the muffler plugged. If not this check the tailpipe for pluggage.
