#1 if theairbag light is on. it means the airbag system is basically ofline. it cant deploy even if u crashed. but a god idea to get it sorted. usually a bad conection under one of the front seats.

If your constantly moving the front seats backwards and forwards, the connections under the seat have come loose...

#1 -- If the Airbag Warning light has come on and stayed on. Be VERY careful, its possible the Airbag could deploy at any second. No I'm not joking. You need to take the car to a qualified Renault dealership as soon as possible! As you could be injured or killed by a faulty airbag if it deploys unexpectedly.

#2 -- If all the brake-related lights come on at the same time the fault is probably a bad Vehicle Speed Sensor, or Wheel Speed Sensor. Judging by how your Speedometer (I'm guessing) isn't working, I'd say its actually the Vehicle Speed Sensor. Personally I don't know the prices of a Renault VSS, but it shouldn't be terribly bad because of the VSS is only a magnet with a few wires going into it.

What number is the ABS fuse on a Renault clio authentic year 2002

You have problem eight a speed sensors your master cylinder or wheel cylinders brake lines ECT.
The ABS system works off information it receives from the computer so its the last place to start looking for the problem .
You can go get the thing read but it will cost you money its not like OBD 2 you can't read it with a code reader or even a code scanner .
Start at the other end of the problem its not a fuse for your abs system .

Electronic stability control & abs & brake assist warning indicator lights are coming on after an accident. How serious are they?

You have damage to the front area brake system. It could be very serious but if car stops OK most likely not that serious you just won't have abs or traction control. The damage is most likely a speed sensor or something similar. I said it could be serious that is only worst case.
Here is a breakdown of what lights mean
ABS keeps your breaks from locking up
BREAK ASSIST helps your breaks
Traction control if you one wheels spin more than others system adjust wheel spiN

Renault clio abs light comes on with vibration through brake pedal. discs and pads renewed

How hard are you stepping on the brake pedal? What you are describing sounds like the ABS system activating. When you step on the pedal hard enough to engage the ABS the light will come on, in some cars it will blink. You will also feel the thumping/vibration in the pedal since the system works by repeatedly engaging and disengaging the brakes. If it is happening when you step lightly on the brakes then you may have a bad wheel speed sensor or possibly a bad or miss-adjusted brake switch.

ABS Fault? Renault Megane

Hi Liz, I am in exacty the same position as you although I just had the new abs pump fitted and I still have the same problems??? I am going crazy with this, my garage's diagnostic machine won't commuicate with my car and my speedo is not working? My mechanic reckons the abs memory is stuck in a loop and that is why the lights ain't going out, but without a diagnostic I dont know, I guess I will have to take it to a dealership to be ripped off!!!!

Abs and service light on constant,

I have a 1998 Renault Laguna 2.2DTi and on occasion the ABS warning light comes on. The reason for it is nothing to do with the ABS but the seat belt pretensioner. Where the seat belt clips in, there is a plastic moulding around the seat belt restraint, if you put your hand inbetween the seat cushion and the moulding you will feel various cables - if you play about with them, the warning light will go out!
