My rear DVD player in my 2010 F-Expd was working but then we changed the disc and it made a weird clicking sound like it was trying to read and gave a load disk error. It does this w/every disc.ideas?

Hello Ammie Gordon,

If you have this same response from a couple of DIFFERENT DVDs (combined with your "noise" symptom) then it is safe to assume you are having a head/drive issues ...

These units are quite robust, cleanable and serviceable... but my best ADVICE is they are also fairly INEXPENSIVE (not cheap) and available (on eBay as well (in colors)... ADDITIONALLY... identical unit were equipped in the 2010 Lincoln Navigator.

I would get a COMPLETE REPLACEMENT and have the SALAMI removed by your ORIGINAL by your favorite uncle in your leisure time...

Hurry... BLUETOOTH "PLAYLISTS" and streaming media are right behind this technology... and ...
these will be as hard to find as 8 TRACK tape players
(I'm just saying).

Hope this helps.

Dvd player plays sound but no picture. rear console is not working (radio/air channels)

Sound like the players reader head has gone up. Might have dealership confirm and then replace the unit.

Relearn tpms sensors on 2010 suburban

A lot of vehicles can be done thru the radio. You'll need the owners manual to figure out how. I bought one of those $500 tools to do tihs and haven't used it once.

Suburban troubleshooting

Check the wires in the diagnostic connector. Especially in the A & B slots. I believe the B slot wire is a ground wire-check it for integrity-may be broken.

DVD player reads disc error.

need to clean the reader unit and blow the dirt dust off the lens with compressed air cleaner(found at electronics stores or walmarts electronics aisle..also most factory units will not read home recorded discs because there are no imbeded codes in these discs. this cd cleaner has a small hose attached to it that is inserted in the slot and you just spray the pressure in smal spurts through the slot..there is no liquid to dry up so you can insert a disc as soon as you ae done with the cleaner..

I am trying to play a dvd in my 2007 Tahoe. It will not play and gives me an optical error message. Any thoughts?

{: ) If you have been playing DVD normally before on your Tahoe, and now you read error messages, it could be the player or the disc at fault. Most of the time it is the disc at fault. As much as possible, the discs shoul be clean and scratch free, not warped, and compatible to your player. Avoid using discs with paper label. Try a known good DVD disc and observe for any progress.
Just in case it's the first time you try and you have a navigation radio, check again your RPO lists. and look for a UVB listed on the RPO sticker. Or simply check the DVD symbol on the left lower corner of the radio, which indicates that it is capable of playing DVD audio or video.

My 2007 Honda Pilot has a DVD error. It will not read DVD's and displays the word ERROR. Any suggestions or tips on what i should do?

if the dvd is actually spinning up. then i would say the optical laser is dirty and needs to be cleaned. you can do it with a Qtip and rubbing alcohol. that is, if you can find it and get to it. sometimes you cannot get to it easily and it needs to be disassembled. good luck.
