Use a test light to see if there is voltage at the positive coil terminal with ignition key on. If yes, replace coil. If no voltage, find ignition relay in box under hood. Listen for relay to click when ignition is turned on. If no click, use test light to see if there are 2 hot inputs (with key on--there is only one hot with key off) to the relay at the socket. If yes, replace relay. If no, your ignition switch or wiring is bad.
If you replaced the coil and there is still no spark, your ignition system is not producing a signal. This could be caused by a bad modulator or pickup, but the troubleshooting is more difficult.
Any other questions, please reply.

It would help greatly if you wore more spicfic about what kind of vehicle and year also engine you have . But that being said the problem probably lies in the electronic ignition module or the cam shaft pisition sensor or the distibutor shaft or distibutor shaft gear to the cam shaft

Check Neutral Sasfety Switch, located top trans, its possible that mis-adjust there.

Other possibility, Anti-Theft system activated... some THEFT warning on cluster?

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

No fire to my plugs

Check your timing belt. Take the cap off, and turn the engine over to see if the cam is turning. If that's okay, , then, yes there is a diode in the distributor. And they are pretty pricey. If i was you i'd go get a distributor from an auto wrecker and replace the whole thing. It's easier, and cheaper.Good luck!

No fire to my plugs

It all sounds like you have a bad computor. If you are not getting fire from the coil. The source will lead you back to the brain source, (The Computor). Go to the local junk yard to get another one at half price.
