Will screw in on the gearbox on one end and the other will be inside the instrument cluster and will have to come in throught the firewall and at the back of your instrument cluster.

Speedometer and odometer not working told by previous owner he replaces vss also one sensor at rear of transfer case is not plugged in is this a common problem if so what is common fix?

What make and model? It is possible that the unplugged sensor is for the speedo / odo, since the pulses for the speedo and hence the odo is picked up from the final drive on the transmission.
Note, it is only a possibility, we need more information.

Why dd my speed odometer quit working and sometimes it jumps

Sorry, but no one will have any idea how to answer your question if you don't state the MAKE, MODEL, and YEAR of your vehicle.

We don't even know if you have an electronic odometer or a mechanical one! (Sorry, we're not clairvoyant.)

My low oil pressure light and my low fuel light come on repeatedly along with the gauges they represent do not work. my air bag light is also on. My odometer is also not working along with cruise control....

Have you been in contact with the repair shop to see if they unplugged something under the hood and forgot to plug it back in. Did they pull your transmission. If they did, depending on which model of car you have, they may have had to disconnect the wiring harness. It sounds like it is in some way connected with the on board computer. Have all the wiring connectors checked, e\specialy the computer.

Ac doenst work

If the mechanic forgot to plug something back in, take it back. Every mechanic I know would rectify a mistake like that for no additional charge, and with no waiting.

I got a 96 chevy z71 replced tranning no speed odometer wont shift and no 4 low and abs light is on

It appears to me that you didn't plug in the wiring harness into the transmission. If you did, then you probably forgot to unplug it when you pulled the trans. and broke some of the lines. The abs is probably not related.
The trans in your truck shifts electronically, if it isn't plugged in or if the harness is damaged, it will not know when to shift. It is computer controlled.

99 jetta check engine light on, runs fine, speedometer not workin

o2 sensors will put your check-engine-light on. it is attached to the exhaust (closest to the motor)and rusts-out sometimes. you could try to fix it by buying the o2 sensor and use a socket-set to see if it loosens. i 'm not a mechanic but have had the issue, in the past, with the jetta II's and a 1997.the guys at vw dealers are great with info, if your a hands-on kinda guy/girl.

Changed Mass Air Flow sensor, CEL still displays problem

it almost sounds like a fouled fuel injector. this is a tricky problem because it involve so many different operations. the maf is used to deliver fuel and the o2 sensor tells how much. there are 2 o2 sensors one before cat 1 after. mabey check these out visually. the computer should pick these sensors up if there bad. is this a supercharged engine? ill try to come up with some other ideas for you soon.

The odometer reading disappeared on my '98 Volvo S70.

Have you found anything out. I brought my volvo in to have the battery replaced and when I picked it up I noticed the odometer was blank (no -----) just blank. I was told it was not related and probably just a bulb. Not a bulb I have no idea. I don't want to replace the cluster unless I'm sure what have you found out. (all my other gauges are fine speed, tach, trip fine)
