Hi.

OBD1 codes are not the same for all vehicles. Here code 43 should mean

"Knock Sensor Ciruit - Knock sensor signal was either above 3.5 volts or below 1.5 volts for at least 20 seconds."

"Electronic Spark Control (ESC) Circuit -The ECM did not detect a knock signal during near wide open throttle operation"

The code meaning depends on the Vin.

In both situations replace the knock sensor.

Moreover, if problem was the TPS you would have experienced automatic tranny problems rather than backfiring.

About code 12, that is no fault, that means that the PCM is ready.

Three things you should check using a good code checker which can read sensor outputs - the throttle position sensor (TPS), the mass air flow sensor (MAF) and the EGR valve. While you are at it, replace the PCV valve.

Engine running to rich

An engine running rich can be caused by many factors including the need to change plug wires, distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs.
if you want to know what happened i think you should buy a tool to read the fault code, if you need click here: OBDII Code Scanner

Car repairs I just replaced my fuel pump in my truck but dont seem to b getting fuel to throttle body still wont start i have checked my relay and can here fuel pump come on

If youare looking for fuel at the throttle body, you will not find any unless there is something TERRIBLY WRONG with your truck. Depending on which engine you have (there are 3 possible engines for the 1996 model year) your truck is equipped with Multiport Fuel Injection (MFI) or Sequential Multiport Fuel Injection (SMFI)
You need to test the fuel pressure by connecting a fuel pressure gauge to the service port on the fuel rail. If the pump is running, there is no need to mess with the relay because it is obviously working. If the pressure is OK, then there is no problem with your fuel delivery system. The next thing to check is the fuel injection system. Also, have you checked to see if you have spark at the spark plugs? It could be that your truck is not starting because of ignition system problems.

Throttle body pops when i give the car alot of gas

This is normally a sign of a lean mixture where the fuel injection isn't injecting enough fuel into the engine. It can be from having an inadequate amount of fuel delivered to the engine from the tank, or it can be from the injection system having a malfunction where it isn't injecting enough fuel into the engine. You should start off by checking the trouble codes in the onboard diagnostic system. From there you should check the fuel pressure. Odds are these tests will show a problem and you will know which way to proceed.

Engine stops when decelerating and will only start again when fuel is poured into carbuerator w electronic throttle body

Sounds like oxygen sensor. On a 93 you should have fuel injection, not carburator.I believe sensor on you vehicle is in front of air cleaner. Easy to change.

The TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) is located out on the engine, on the side of the throttle body. Here is what it looks like.

1993 Saturn sc2 stutters and backfires accerlerating

Check to see it th chain guides are worn. this can cause a retarded or advance on timing. Also do a compression check if you can, this will show that the valves are opening and closing on time. Run some injection cleaner through it first as a sticky injector could also be an issue.
