The 4.0 firing order is 1-4-2-5-3-6

The terminal cylinder numbers are identified on the ignition coil. You can follow the ignition wires from there on to the cylinders you are looking for. (I hope the wires are still connected), if not, check the images I put here. Good Luck. Please vote and give me a nice rating, thank you.spark plug wire placement and - c0bc356.jpg65ce365.jpg

I need a wiring diagram showing wiring from spark plugs to distributor for a 1994 ranger v6 3.0

Use the diagram below and just match up the colors of the cylinders to the distributor cap for proper firing order. So starting at the black dot on cap and moving to the right the next cylinder is 4 the 2 the 5 the 3 then 6.

Changed plugs and wires on a 94 ford explorer and now it 's not tunning right. need a diagram. please.

FIRING ORDERS NOTE: To avoid confusion, remove and tag the spark plug wires one at a time, for replacement. If a distributor is not keyed for installation with only one orientation, it could have been removed previously and rewired. The resultant wiring would hold the correct firing order, but could change the relative placement of the plug towers in relation to the engine. For this reason it is imperative that you label all wires before disconnecting any of them. Also, before removal, compare the current wiring with the accompanying illustrations. If the current wiring does not match, make notes in your book to reflect how your engine is wired.
