At what milage do i need to change the timing belt

Hello helenanddere: My name is Roger and I will help you. You did not say which motor is in your KIA so I will give you the specs on both motors.According to Autodata both the 2.0 and the 2.7 engines both have the same check and replacement intervals. KIA recommends check and replacement if necessary every 40,000 miles, which ever occurs first and replacement every 60,000 miles or 72 months, which ever occurs first.
This is a known INTERFERENCE motor. What that means is if the belt should break. Major internal damage will occur. Piston and valve damage is most likely to occur and be a major expense. Should you need further help, please just ask. Please rate the answer. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

I have a 2003 Nissan Altima. Do I have a timing Chain or Belt. How long does the timing chain last? I have 195,000 miles on my car.

Timing chain. Normally they will last for at least 150,000 miles or longer. If it becomes noisy or car is hard to start, backfires, or performance is sub-par have it checked.

Does a 2003 cavalier have timing belt or chain?

Most overhead valve engines have a belt. You need to get your engine size, make, model and year and call your local parts house and they can tell you this for sure.

Is there a fuse for the A\C in a 03 Nissan Altima

All major systems such as A/C use a fuse but it's called a fusible link. These are designed to carry very heavy current flows, when these go they melt in half, they are located usually under the hood, they are held in place by 2 small screws, parts stores should carry them, but the dealer will. You must replace it with exactly the same type, nothing else will do.

My altima seems sluggish when I press on the gas. It also humms a little bit. Could it be my exhaust? Do I need a tune up?I have 85,000 miles and haven't had any major problems so far.

85,000 miles. I hope their not the original spark plugs, air filter, gas filter, etc. Your flerting with break down maintanance.
If you haven't flushed the Transmission,Power Steering,Brake Fluid,Coolant,Etc,your also going to be sorry down the road, and have some major repair bills.

I have an '03 Suzi Grand Vit. w/ 141k miles. The oil pressure light came on and the engine began making a bit of noise up in the top end. Towed it to my local mech. and he determined that it would likely...

Did he say that it had enough oil in the engine? Have you noticed drips of oil on the driveway? If the engine is burning or leaking oil, then eventually you will have so little oil that the light will come on because the pump can't get enough oil - but that doesn't mean your oil pump is worn out. Generally, oil pump failure only occurs in the very worst maintained cars. I would change the oil (maybe to a thicker viscosity), and keep a very close eye on the oil level (consumption), checking the level every day, and then make a decision based on how much repairs may be, how much to replace the car, etc. Oil pump replacement is very major surgery, involving sump and timing cover removal, and timing belt or chain removal too. If oil pump replacement is the only possible rectification, I would recommend getting an accurate quote, and be prepared to bite the bullet and trade-up. I personally don't believe the oil pump would be the problem, so maybe get a 2nd opinion. Good luck.

How long do the 2001 pontiac grand am's normally last?

If the car was maintained according to the instructions in the owner's manual it can easily go 150,000 miles with no major problems. But if the car was neglected or driven hard, it could have major problems in as little as 50,000 miles. So as you can see it all depends on how the car was driven and how it was maintained.
