I have a 1997 Lincoln Town Car, I have a strong gas smell while I am driving.

I would say park in a place you can see a leak.
When engine is cold turn key on the fuel pump should put pressure on fuel line to engine. If you don't smell or see gas any where. crank engine see if you can smell or see gas under the hood or car. If there is still no sign outside it must be bringing it in from your vents. the vents let outside air in. so the gas leak should be around or in front of the vent intake air. Sorry I can not be of more help.

2002 ford taurus smell gas when the outside temperature is over 80 degrees

Fuel tanks have a vent tube and a charcoal cannister to capture the gas fumes from the tank. It's possible there is a cracked or loose hose, faulty fuel cap, bad canister or a fuel leak and any one of many connections. Investigate for sign of raw fuel along the underside of te vehicle, and in the engine compartment. Attempt to follow the smell to isolate the location of a leak.

2009 MALIBU smell gas from underneath the car?

is your purge canister working correctly or does it cause the fumes to stay in fuel tank and smell from the tank cap. Check when the car is off by removing the filler cap whether you have a pressure in tank. this might cause the smell, unless there is a small leak not noticeable somewhere.

Gas is draining faster than usual, and smell of gas while driving

Most likely you have a leak in a gas line or a small hole in your gas tank. I only suggest this because I just went through that with my truck. The gas may not drip fast enough for you to see any signs of a leak. Try parking and idling you car over concrete or some other surface that's light in color. Use a flashlight to look under the car and around the gas tank for a possible drip. I'm no expert - just sharing my knowledge from past experience. Gas is expensive! Good luck!!

I can smell gas in the cab of the windstar van but dont see any leeks but it built up presure when i opened the gas cap

The fuel smell is likely a leak in teh evaporative emissions collection system, or the fuel fill pipe or vent tube leaking. When you open the gas cap, it should relieve pressure, this is normal. Look under the rear for signs of wet spots of fuel leaking or broken or disconnected hoses that carry fuel vapors from the gas tank to the canister for storage, report back.

Smell of gas while driving is very noticable inside of the car.

Sounds like one of the rubber hoses in the engine bay may be leaking. Could also be a leak somewhere around the carbuerator or fuel injectors.

Turn on the car and look/smell your engine bay. Look for anything that may indicate a leak or try and follow your nose. Leave running for awhle, and if you still can not find it, turn car off, and check all lines again.
