Try turning the truck to ON (not start) position and OFF position 3 times and then pumping the gas petal all the way to the floor 3 times.

If that doesn't work turn the key to the ON position and pump the gas 3 times, then OFF.

How do I get the check engine light to go off after oil change. 07 Honda pilot

An oil change will not set the check engine light. You need to have a scanner hooked up to your vehicle to see why the check engine light is on.

Why the change engine oil light keep coming on when i start my 2005 buick rendezvous? how can i turn it off?

Did you have the oil changed lately ?
Oil Life Left
Oil life left percentage is based on the information the DIC receives from a class 2 message from the PCM. The DIC displays the current percentage of the GM Oil Life System. When the oil needs changing the change engine oil indicator in the message center turns ON. When the engine oil is changed, reset the oil life left. Refer to GM Oil Life System Resetting in Maintenance and Lubrication.

GM Oil Life System Resetting
When the system has calculated that oil life has been diminished, it will indicate that an oil change is necessary. A CHANGE ENGINE OIL message will come on. Change the engine oil as soon as possible within the next 600 miles (1 000 km). It is possible that, if driving under the best conditions, the oil life system may not indicate that an oil change is necessary for over a year. However, the engine oil and filter must be changed at least once a year and at this time the system must be reset.
If the system is ever reset accidentally, change the engine oil at 3,000 miles (5 000 km) since last oil change.
How to Reset the Engine Oil Life System
If the vehicle does not have optional Driver Information Center (DIC) , do the following:
Turn the ignition to ON, with the engine off.
Fully press and release the accelerator pedal slowly three times within five seconds.
Turn the key to OFF. If the CHANGE ENGINE OIL message comes back on when you start the vehicle, the Engine Oil Life System has not reset. Repeat the procedure.
If the vehicle has the optional DIC, do the following:
Turn the ignition to ON, with the engine off.
Press the MODE button until the DIC reads OIL LIFE LEFT/HOLD SET TO RESET.
Press and hold the SET button until 100 percent is displayed. You will hear three chimes and the CHANGE ENGINE OIL message will go off.
Turn the key to OFF.
If the CHANGE ENGINE OIL message comes back on when you start the vehicle the Engine Oil Life System has not reset. Repeat the procedure.

Oil pump replacement

Depends on what vehicle you have. Most pumps can be changed by dropping the oil pan. It may require raising the engine somewhat for the pan to clear the sump. Some vehicles have the oil pump run off the crankshaft on the side of the engine as well and are easier to access and change

The change oil soon light comes on for about 15 minutes then goes out. The oil has already been changed. How do I fix this??

The Reset Procedure Is:
With The Ignition Key In The "on" Position, but The Engine Off, Fully Push And Release The Accelerator Pedal Slowly 3 Times Within 5 Seconds. If The "change Oil" Light Flashes, The System Is Resetting. Turn The Key Off, Then Start The Vehicle.
If The "change Oil" Light Comes Back On, The Light Has Not Reset. Repeat The Procedure.

Check engine light flashes and vehicle is not idling smooth

these vehicles have a variable timing solenoid that has oil that goes through it. dirty oil will damage it causing these problems. GM knows about bad design and is selling these cheaper than most parts stores. make sure you change your oil every 3000 miles and use a good filter to help preventing happening again

The engine service soon light on., but already made the tune up, and changed the oil and filters.

first you will have to hook the vehicle up to a computer and get the exact codes for the reason the light is on...then after fixing the problem you will have to clear the codes using the same computer you used to read them.... doing a tune up and changing the oil and filters may not have been the original problem with your vehicle or is not the nly problem with the vehicle...you will have to hook it up to a diagnostic computer and pull the codes to get down to the problem

Does oil light need reset after changeing oil

Check with owners manual to see if this code indicates a change oil or low oil pressure. To be sure, check engine oil level before starting vehicle. If this is a change oil indicator, the owners manual will give the steps required to clear.

Oil pressure light remained on after an oil change.

This can be a malfunction ot this can be serious, First check vehicle and make sure there is oil in this vehicle. If there is oil make sure its at the right level NOT low or NOT high but just where it should be on dipstick. If there is low or NO oil on dipstick make sure you have a receipt from that oil change place just in case there is damage to your engine. just because this is a practically new vehicle I would recommend that you take it back to Saturn and get this look at, or the other option if the level is good is to take off the battery positive lead for at least 10 minutes. (IF YOU HAVE A CODED RADIO IN THIS VEHICLE MAKE SURE YOU KNOW THE CODE BEFORE DOING THIS PLEASE) and that should reset the oil pressure light. Good luck and thanks for using FIX YA
