What can cause the both brake lights to fail in the trunk lid of 2018 Ford Taurus Limited AWD?

Hi, I take it that you have already checked the fuse, could be the brack light switch wich is by the brake pedle , but what I would check as it does seem to be a problem on alot of cars these days, where the wireing goes from the boot into the trunk lid there is a rubber boot, inside where the boot is opend and closed the wires inside the rubber boot brake,so I would check there first, make sure you check eaach wire verry carefully, hope this was some help all the best.

How do I change tag light

Open the trunk. Remove the fabric cover. Remove the ten or so nuts holding the rear lens assembly to the trunk lid. Remove the rear lense assembly from the trunk lid. There are six bulbs, part number 194, in this lense assembly. Two or the lisence plate and four for the tail lights. I would recommend replacing them all as long as you have it disassembled.

How to identify rear turn signal and stop light wires in trunk to connect trailer lights

in the trunk there should be a multi plug near the lights on the left and right side, disconnect the plug, turn on the left or right indicator depending on what side you are working on first, use a test light (they are about $5 from your auto store) find a good earth on the vehicle body and connect the alligator clip on the test light to the earth, use the probe on the test light and touch each terminal in the multi plug until the test light blinks, that will be your blinker wire for that side, when you have found them see which colour wire it is and tag them.
Now turn of your indicators and turn on your park lights, use the same method as you used for the blinkers and tag either wire as you will only need one for the parking lights.
Now turn off the parking lights and get a friend to apply the footbrake, use the same method again and tak one wire as you only need the one for the brakes.
Now just connect the wires from the trailer to the wires in the vehicle and remember to connect the earth wire from the vehicle connector plug to the vehicle body

No rear main brake lights.

It may be the brake switch, on most vehicles the brake switch is located under the dash at the brake pedal lever, A plunger type switch when brake pedal is depressed plunger extends compleating circuit , may just need adjustment. peace S.R.

My Brake lights don't work

2004 Rx8 kept blowing 15amp brake light fuse. Solution: wire going to rear lights was worn and frayed where it feeds through the left trunk lip on left side of trunk. This can be seen when you open the trunk lid. The wire routes by the trunk lid hinge. If the support connectors come loose, the wires are crunched by the hinge or lid. Re-splice, insulate, zip-tie, replace fuse and replace any blown bulbs.

1994 camry reverse indicator ilght on when breaking

Hello! May I suggest possibly a bad earth? can you try standing at the rear of the vehicle with ignition on ask your wife to apply the brakes, do any other lights glimmer? failing this with brakes still applied pop into reverse and see if any lights glimmer or come on? try again with left or right indicator's flashing and brakes applied, is there an irratic signal or are the reverse lights blinking too?
If any of the above take the bulb holders out of the rear lenses look for corrosion, bad contacts, broken filiaments and security. Clean and replace then see what happens.
Just a thought?
Hope this works? Good Luck!
