Sounds like the idle air control sensor is bad or dirty. You might get lucky, it's attached to the throttle body and you might be able to remove it and clean the carbon build up off it to get it working again. Or just replace it.

Idles roughly, then low when stopped or in park, then dies. Decreasing gas mileage. Slow to accelerate

Sometimes that's caused by a vacuum leak near the manifold area.

Sometimes air in the coolant will cause an idle problem. Air will keep the air temp sensor from sending proper info.
Hope this helps.

My car cuts off at stops

Sounds like the idle is not picking up when the car is in gear. I would definately look into the idle control (aka idle air control). It should be located somewhere on or near the throttle body.

2004 silverado has p0446 evap code and very low idle at stop. shows low volts as well. My question tho is why does my odometer read 16 and its telling me im getting 0.1 mpg and all the other readings are...

I had the problem with my 04 silverado odometer malfunction. There was a recall for this model and year. Took it to the dealer had it fixed for free, you need a new odometer replaced but it only covers warany for 7yrs or 75K miles then its prorated.

04 silverado rough idle wants to stall when stopping Help please

Check o2 sensors, and throttle position sensor as well as any vacuum leaks. Make sure you are getting plenty of spark and fuel pressure.

Car cutting out when idleing

Here is the most common cause of surges and stalls at stops and low erratic idle speed and rough idle, it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

C240 wagon (4-matic) idles low almost cutting out at stops

Hi,is never a bad thing to add a good fuel injector cleaner to your gas tank to prevent injectors from getting cloged ,you can try this for two days ,if no diference , check your air conditioner idle compensator, this regulates the idle when you turn the air on and off. good luck
