Its fairly simple to do should take a novice about 1 hour to replace just 5 bolts

I am truly stumped!! Help!!! ???? It's not that difficult if you know how to test electrical circuit's using a wiring diagram an a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter . Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html
Enter vehicle info. year , make , model . under system click on engine ,then under subsystem click on charging system . Click the search button ,then the blue link . Looking at the diagram on the left , i see the ignition switch ,the crank fuse in the I/P fuse box, the theft deterrent relay an the starter solenoid . Using a voltmeter or test light check for B+ voltage at the S terminal on the solenoid while someone tries to start the vehicle . If no light or B+ voltage ,back track to the relay , Test for B+ voltage at pin's 30 & 87 while cranking . If you pull the relay out of it's socket an look on the bottom or side you will see four set's of numbers 30 & 87 and 85 & 86 . You could just take a piece of wire ,heavy gage 12 . Jump 30 & 87 . If the heavy gage battery cable to the starter is good it should crank the engine .

I am a ametur mechanic my birthday just passed and I was given a 1986 Buick regal the base model all stalk I don't know who to ask because I want to install a remanufacterd 231 size engine and a stalk...

first thing you want to do is talk to people who have experience, look in your area for a car club, go to car shows is a good way to find contacts, ask your local parts store if anyone in your area does transplants like what you want, buy some automotive magazines and look in the ads for someone near you, this should help you get started

Where is the started located on the 1993 buick roadmaster? The car will not start?

from the driver seat , it is on right side of engine, at bottom, in front of the trans bell housing. If it clicks fast when you turn the key, tap on the solenoid and the starter. If it has single click , probably starter problem or solenoid, replace both.

Starter install 1992 buick roadmaster how to remove

Do you mean the starter-motor removal?
Disconnect the battery. Disconnect the red/positive battery cable from the starter. Trace the red/positive cable to where it ends (that's the starter), disconnect it from the solenoid. Use applicable socket wrench/flat-wrench to unbolt/remove the starter-motor. Installation is reverse of removal.

Changing the starter - tough job or easy

the way it works is there is a starter selenoid that when you turn ur key gives the selenoid power which makes the starter gear kick out to catch ur flex plate which turns the engine over it sounds like the drive gear on the starter is not kicking out as far as fixing it it is a farly simple job a few bolts and wires

Car will not start

Recheck the battery, the starter doesn't care if your battery gives 12 volts, it needs CCA (Cold Cranking Amps),  Autozone will test this for free where I live, most likely where you live too.

Engine

There isn't any starter on a 1997 Roadmaster, because there is no 1997 Roadmaster.
For years that were produced, the starter is located on be lower part of the engine, much as it is for any other automobile. Follow the positive battery cable.
