2005 sunfire when I pull away I can hear a squeak and when I put it in reverse when driving there is a lot of pressure and the steering is stiff

My first suggestion is that there is a brake issue, not knowing what type of squeal, whether intermittent or just when taking off, or where roughly....,
I think the Caliper Slide Pins are seized and therefore it is sticking putting pressure on one side of the Brake pads and or perhaps you have an issue with the power steering pump or belt/tensioner issue on the power steering pump. Check your pump fluid.
If it is drums in the back then perhaps the 'hold-down springs & retainer' let go for the brake shoes and are grabbing. If they are rotors then the above applies with caliper pins being worn and/or perhaps the Pads are so far gone they are sticking.
In worse case scenario you could have an issue with something being jammed into an axle from underneath - get a flashlight and look around for something around the axles from underneath, try to follow the axle from the inside to the outside and look for anything in the way of it or if the boots are worn.
Signs of brake fluid leaks may be shown by paths of discoloration on the inside of the wheels and rims, especially after sitting and if you at any time have to fill the brake fluid reservoir or notice it going down or of course any lights on yoiur instrument panel indicating a problem.
So, You may simply need a new belt or oil is on it and you may need some spray to clean it, special sprays are available for this.
Perhaps it is the bearing in the tensioner and maybe the squeal goes away after spraying it with lube like wd40 Zepp etc.
Please give us more info and especially Feedback!
Hope this helps or give you direction.
Sorry cant elaborate a bit more.

Hi there,

You definately have a transmission problem.

When was the last time the transmission fluid was completely replaced? Trans fluid is CRITICAL for proper shifting operation. The measuring of trans fluid is also critical and must be measured in a certain way (engine warm, selector moved through all gears, then finally left in N, while checking for hot level).

Your trans also has a fail-safe function - when a fault is detected, the trans will go into "LIMP" mode. This still allows driving, but will usually remain in 3rd gear. In this instance, the "N" (Neutral) light on your dash may also flash.

If you are technically inclined, I can provide your with instructions on how to check your trans computer for fault codes...

Let me know...

I have a leak coming from the under the right side of my car and i am constantly putting power steering fluid and the low brake fliud light came on 2006 ford taurus

you have a power steering leak either the pump itself or one of the power steering hoses has a hole in it.the low brake fluid light is probably the fluid sensor in the master cylinder providing the fluid level is not low.the sensors tend to stick and need to be tapped or pushed with your finger until it frees itself.

My power steering and brakes went out last night; what would cause both those to got out at the same time? There was a puddle of red fluid on the ground. A hose maybe? hopefully?

Yes could be a hose to your power steering or a leak some where's. your brake work off of your power steering pump because your truck has a hydraboost and not a brake booster that work's off of vacum, so if it's low on power steering fluid the brakes will not work, to check add fluid to the pump and have some one turn the wheel all the way and hold while you check for leak's, hope this was very helpful, good luck

When on the freeway and my power steering "turned off", which has

With the power steering quitting immediately, it indicates a broken belt or serious lack of power steeering fluid. If it's fluid, you have a leak allowing it to escape.

The "tapping noise" sounds like it might be the belt flapping around with engine running.

With the sudden loss in brake pressure, and the light on, I would check the fluid level and if its low, suspect a brake fluid leak, that may be the burning smell, maybe leaking near a exhaust pipe? You dont mention where you are, but if its NORTH and salt is used to get snow off the roads, brake line failures are real common.

Leaking radiator fluid but not from rad., pink fluid, no hose leaks

A fluid leak that is pink and/or red colored is usually either power steering fluid or transmission fluid. I recommend checking both. You can check the power steering fluid when the car is off. However, the transmission fluid should be checked with the engine warm and idling in neutral. Have someone else step on the brake or use the parking brake and block the wheels while you're measuring the transmission fluid level.

Power Steering pump appears to be leaking but is full????

Just guessing. Could it be a warped brake disk? That would cause vibration. And vibration in steering might conceivably cause splashing out the power steering reservoir. You would know if the disk were warped by a shudder when you brake at hight speeds.
