Check for a bolt under the hood lock release, it may be a 10mm bolt, there shouldnt be any more screws, just clips holding it in place, youll need to pull firmly on the panel to release the tabs.

How would I go about replacing the turn signal switch on a 92 Cutlass Supreme S?

Well two major tools you will need,a steering wheel puller ,and a lock plate remover.Remove the horn button(carefully disconnect the horn button wire) pad, screws on back side of steering wheel, then remove large nut holding steering wheel(but first mark steering wheel to be sure you are able to line it back up properly),then use the steering wheel puller, after steering wheel is removed install lock plate remover and compress lock plate down ,and remove C clip pull upwards out of groove, remove puller and C clip and remove horn rotor and lock plate, and you are at the turn signal switch three screws hold the part, remove emergency switch with phillups screw driver and the turn signal lever. remove bezel under dash (where ur knees would be,and disconnect the long flat plug and remove it from its holder and remove turn signal switch.

How to remove bottom part of dash 1995 thunderbird

As others already explain, you don't need to remove the lower dash area to replace the ignition switch, but if you need to remove it for whatever reason, you must first remove the color matched part of the dash that lies just below the steering column by removing the three large bolts that secures it to the dash metal frame (located along the end of the cover) and then pulling it towards the seat as parallel as posible to the floor to disengage the clips that hold it to the dash, then you will see the four screws that hold the lower plastic part of the steering column cover, take them out and you're done.

How easy is it to replace the headlight switch on the dash (which includes dome override and dimmer)?

Quiet easy. The front trim on the dash can be pulled of with medium force. several clips hold it. then look behind the switch and disconnect the harness.. then use a flat head screw driver and pop off the clips that hold the switch in place.

How hard to change cluster for instrument panel in 2004 cavalier

due to milage roll back laws it will be hard to get a cluster but not hard to replace if you can fing a cluster the end caps come off of the dash (just pull off) then under the end covers are one screw on the left side towards the driver on the rt side towards th windshield . then the defroster grill comes off (one screw ) under the defroster grill will be 2 bolts open the glove box and under the opening of the glove box is 3 screws then there is a hole inside the glove box at the top 2 screws inside the hole (dont drop them hard to get back out ) then the upper dsah pad lifts off there are some clips that need to be released. then 3 screws on the cluster trim panel and the trim panel pulls off .it will help if you take off the upper steering column cover it just pulls off un plug the cig lighter and the dimmer switch on the cluster trim panel then 2 screws hold the cluster in place

Replace dimmer switch in 1997 honda civic hatchback

In 96-98 Civics the dimmer simply pushes in under the left dash vent and is held in place on both sides by metal flexing tabs (no screws). If it were possible to grab it you could pull it straight out with a bit of rocking / side to side motion to help to release it. Unfortunately the proper way to remove it requires removing the lower panel as follows:

You need to remove the plastic cover panel that is underneath the steering column (the one with the switches, coin pocket, and fuse box cover built in). To do this you remove three screws (one above the switches on the upper left, one in the lower left corner, and one on the lower right. You will then need to pull the bottom edge out slightly from the dash and tug the entire panel down towards the floor of the car as gently as possible. You will be pulling out three metal snap-in retainers at the top of the panel, two on the left and one on the right. It is often hard to remove plastic panels without damaging them so be careful. Now unplug the switches (mirror, sunroof, fog light) and set the panel aside. At this point you can easily reach behind the dimmer switch, push it out, pull it through the front of the dash, and unplug it.

Hope this helps

Lost low and high beams on 2001 silverado

fisrt of all you must determine if you are getting power to headlight switch. You'll need to pull to the dash panel out to get to the switch. Be careful to disable your air bags when working around the dash. With a test l;ight probe your connector on the back of the switch. You should have one battery powered wire . You probably do since you said your running lights work. Turn on your running lights only at fisrt. Probr the plug again. You should have power out on one terminal only. Then try your headlights, if you have power on the other terminals that didn't work with only running light, your switch should be fine. I'm betting that your problem is in your dimmer switch. I have repaired this problem many many times because of bad dimmers. Under the dash you will need to remove the plastic cover(typically held on with 7mm screws and push pin type connetors.). On the left side of your steering column there will be a switch with a single connector that has several wires in it. Look at the end closest to the steering wheel. You should see a rod about 3/16 diameter contacting one end of the switch. That's your dimmer switch.Carefully place a piece of masking tape on the rod to hold it in place. Unplug wire onnnector and then remove the two screws that hold it to the column.Look to see if there is any burnt wires/connectors there. If not probe the switch with your test light. Remember one power in and should have one power out on each beam. (possibly two on high beam for indicator) If no power out on any position of dimmer, it's bad replace it. If you do the problem is between the dimmer and he headlights.I doubt this is the case. When replacing your switch, make sure that you test the physical function of the switch before you install the cover etc. There is some room for adjustment where the screws mount it to the column. I've done this dozens of times and hope this helps you.

92 honda civic vx keeps blowing taillight fuses.

I found out some of the wiring had grounded out and burnt. I took up the carpet in the door jam and found where the wires had touched and shorted out. i traced each individual wire that had burnt and replaced it with new wire. So far so good.
