Question about 2002 Ford Explorer
If yours is like mine there is no dip stick there is a plug on the transmission you can check it there with your finger not running its shouldn't need any thing with it unless its slipping or shifting hard

Hi, it's done by taking the TRANSMISSION DIP STICK and a small funnel. DO NOT OVERFILL. to TEST start engine handbrake ON, foot on the FOOTBRAKE. on ticking over GO INTO ALL GEARS, AND REVERSE. clean dip stick repace and take READING. if you need more then put enough to UPPER LEVEL. MAKE SURE YOU USE TRANSMISSION OIL. gerry
