1997 dodgeram3500 goes 5 miles starts boging out starved for fuel

run fault codes and look for a canister purge valve problem as I suspect that what you have is a fuel tank not venting properly and causing a vacuum in the tank which is preventing fuel being pumped through the system ( same affect as blocked filters)

Pulled the three fuel lines off fuel pump and cant remember where each one goes

the canister vapour line is the smaller one on the fuel pump sender unit, left side the return is the middle and the right one is the supply that goes to fuel filter i think from memory

My fuel line came off of my 96 neon and i cant find where it goes

There are no diagrams that will show you the fuel lines that I am aware of. The service manual assumes that you allready know that the fuel line runs from the fuel tank to the engine. There are 2 quick connects in the short plastic hose that connects to the fuel filter/regulator assembly at the fuel pump module. One end connects to the fuel filter and the other connects to the main line that goes to the engine. It is VERY simple. There is no fuel return line from the engine back to the tank on your vehicle, so there is only one fuel line and absolutely no way to mix it up with anything else.

1988 Dodge caravan SE. Metal fuel line coming from gas tank to the drivers side rear. what does it connect to? Not talking about the fuel line going to the fuel filter. It fell of and cant find what it...

Sounds like you have a broken fuel return line. The high pressure line goes through the filter and to the injection system, and the unused fuel is returned through the pressure regulator back to the fuel tank.

My Saturn ion won't start in cold weather. sfter waiting 10 mins it starts with no problem

sounds like a plugged fuel filter,,,changed it lately?? what might be occurring is,,after turning the engine over for a few minutes,,it just cant get the fuel,,,then after sitting the fuel slowly goes threw the filter,, and you get enough for the engine to start,,,clean filters are a must,,,give this some thought,,,their about 10 bucks if you change it yourself.

I am smelling fuel. i traced line from tank to filter and cant see anything. there seems to be a trail of gas on ground directly in line with fuel line.where else could this come from

After the filter, the fuel line goes to the pump, and then to the engine. There are also over flow and vent lines that can leak.
This is hard to see on the ground.
Either the car needs to be up on jack stands or a hoist.
Fuel leaks are dangerous, so don't wait.

Does the 04 sonata really have a fuel filter?

Hi, the fuel filter is by the front of the gas tank. but the person was right about the strainer on the fuel pump but that is just the first filter to keep large sediments out, and secondary filter is to keep the small stuff out.

How do you change the fuel filter? I cant seem to find where the old one is located....

Should be on your carberator where the gas line goes into the carb. Takes a one inch wrench. Says "filter" on it. You may have an "inline" filter too. It'll be in the line between the fuel pump and the carb.
