where is this f....fuse?

disconnect the negative terminal on your battery first.

not a fuse, it is a common mechanical problem on saturns, 91-96. you can buy a kit to fix it on ebay.
however you have to pull out the whole cluster, disassemble it and then reassemble and put it back in.
it will not be worth one more cent with an odometer than without, most folks just live with it.

You have a short in a wire. Or check and see if something in ur cig ligher plug. Coins fit nice in there! Turn all the lighs off and try a fuse then turn on lights. Use process of elimination to narrow it down

some cars need key on to turn on cig lighter but if thats not the case, ive also seen circut breakers for cig lighters on back of cig lighter socket so check that also.

the fuse panel is next to the passenger's left knee. the cover is held on by velcro and the lay out of the fuses is on the back side of the cover. it is also in the owner's manual in the glove box

The lighter is on the same fuse as the locks. If you are looking at the fuse panel inside of the vehicle if is the right-most one in the bottom row. It is a 20 amp fuse.

There seems to be a contact issue common with these vehicles where, without being corrected, this fuse blows quit frequently. I usually suggest finding a skilled friend or mechanic that is able to track it down and fix it for good. Outside of that carrying a fuse tester (usually runs about $3 at most auto parts stores and are very easy to use) and a pack of 20 amp fuses in your glove box is a good idea.

Honestly, owning a fuse tester with any vehicle is a handy idea :)

the fuse for the front lighter is located under hood in fuse box it is labled AUX PWR and is a yellow 20 amp. The second power outlet/cig lighter is also in this box and is labled PWR OUTLET and is a grey 25 amp fuse.

The 1997 SL2 has a fuse for the cigarette lighter in a panel that is next to where the left foot of a passenger would be. The panel just pops off - held on by velcro.
