Lots of rattles, which is surprising! Doors flexed over bumps, steering wheel creaks on low speed car park type turns, door trim gives off low amplitude noises from time to time. Paintwork defects on delivery - rear bumper dimpled, dirt in clear coat. Paint defects in use - one of the front fog light cut outs has flaking paint and the hatch is streaked after washer fluid ran down it from use several times. Driver's dash vent came adrift at one corner.

I have the same problem with my S60. I have since found that some of the problems is caused by the accelerator pedal sending confusing signals to the ECU. I am in the process of replacing the pedal and rheostat assembly to see what improvement there is.
I recently spoke to the only technician that seems to know about this problem. When I told him about the gauges dropping and in my car the headlights come on and I cannot open the windows he immediately knew what the problem was. He asked my if I fitted a bluetooth device to the car, which I have. I fitted a bluetooth car kit some time ago. He said he had the same problem with another car and after removing the car kit the problem was solved. I have done a lot of research on this problem and you are welcome to contact me for more information at wvdm@global.co.za

The measurement of gasoline , Shows the measurement of the wrong

Since all the gauges in a town car are electronic, you may have to completely fill and empty (not to where the car won't run) the fuel tank a few times to recalibrate the new float. (if that's what you replaced) If you did not replace the float, that is what is most likely causing the problem.

I had a problem with gauges and even the digital speedometer on a 1988 Lincoln. It turned out to be the alternator. The alternator was leaking a charge into the body of the car and all the guages went goofy. Have an autoparts store hook a meter to your car to check the alternator.

Shake problem

shaking while driving could be a problem with bad or very worn tires on the car or it could also be caused by the loss of a balancing weight from one of the tires. This problem could also be caused by a badly aligned front end on the car. I would take the car to a good front end repair shop and let them drive the car and determine what the problem might be.

Good Luck!

Fuse problems - can be replaced by you quickly, easily, and with little to no dirty hands, & most important of all can save you money. Good luck with your fuse problems, hope this thread helped you, if you find new, or better solutions please post them here.

The car fuse box is usually found in one of two places: usually near the bottom of your dashboard as you move closer to the foot well or, on some models, under the hood. If you are having trouble finding the car fuse box, have a look at your car manual.

Good luck.
