This its a simple job: just keep in mind few tips on how to replace a Weatherstrip:

  • Understand how your Weatherstripping attaches.
  • Take pictures of the original weatherstrips before you begin. If necessary, these pictures can be a valuable resource after attaching the weatherstrips, while reassembling your vehicle.
  • Weatherstrips will usually attach with screws, Nylon, or plastic clips, Weatherstrip adhesive, or any combination of the above.
  • Replace 1 side at a time. Most weatherstrips are replaced in pairs. Replacing one weatherstrip at a time allows you to check how the original was attached, providing a valuable reference.
  • With any weatherstrips that attach using adhesive, take the time to ensure all of the old adhesive has been removed. This step ensures a good bond between your car and the new weatherstripping.
  • Choose an appropriate work area and have patience.
  • Make sure you have a large protected space to work in.
  • Don't let yourself be rushed by the weather.
  • Allow yourself plenty of time.
  • A quality weatherstrip replacement can be a day long project depending on the amount of weatherstripping replaced.
  • Think it through. Don't rush yourself by starting the project at night if you need the car the following morning.

How do I remove and install driver window weather strip on 1985 Chevrolet el camino?

The best way is remove the door panel and take out the glass. Part of the track is bolted in and some of it just presses into the channel. Any of the seals across the top of the door, like if the window is down and your arm is resting on them. These just pry off and push back on.

I need to know how to replace door handle assembly

You have to get the door panel off first. There are hidden screws in and under the door handle. Then you have to take a screwdriver or hard flat tool and go around the inside of the door panel and pop out all the plastic clips that hole the panel in. Onced panel removed, take off plactic/paper on inside of toor. Two small bolts in handle. 10mm. Plastic clip on rod connected to door handle inside door need to be popped or disconected from rod. Plactic clip slides then rod pops out from inside door handle. Reverse procedure to reinstall new door hanle. Be patient. Sounds like a lot of work but is fairly easy. Try to do in 20 degree weather. It sucks. Have fun...

Everytime it rains the passenger side will flood, weather stripping is intact, how do I prevent this?

Remove rear dooor panels. take inside plastic loose at the bottom and half way up the door.take and tuck in the bottom of door...this does take in account the plastic is still on the door. Now take another piace of plastic and seal it against the door frame . Then reinstall door panel.

You can actually find NOS weatherstripping for old Saturns at getsaturn At least I was able to buy a new one for a 94 last year. It is a website for a Maryland dealer who sells at below regular cost. I have had 5 saturns and they never sold me a bad or wrong part. You could also look around on ebay, but what you would find there is another used leaky one.
