How to replace hyundai getz clutch

This ia a big jobunless you have mechanical knowledge. I suggest you get a manual and read up before you tackle this job. If you have no experience it would be cost effective to have this job done in a clutch and brake shop

Gear getting stuck hard to change gears

Hello your looking at a clutch most likely if your gears are not enjoying this means clutch is at adjustment end these clutches are self adjusting and hydraulic and the clutch slave cylinder is internal on the transmission spleen. So you will eventually not be able to get your vehicle to go in gear,Also your clutch master cylinder the fluid level should be checked most times these leak internal causing the clutch plate to become wet ounce that happens time to change it.The best advise would be to take it in to a transmission shop hoist it up you will need a hoist to further inspect quotes are free and maybe get two separate quotes on the job this is a big job even for a qualified mechanic.

Very hard to put in 1'st and reverse . And it takes off when the clutch is all the way down

This is a sign that the clutch pedal actuation mechanism has problems. This can damage the transmission if you drive it like this much. Odds are your clutch master cylinder is going out, it could be low on fluid too. If it is low on fluid it is a sign that either the clutch slave, or master cylinder have a small leak, and will need to be replaced. The clutch master cylinder inst a big job, but the clutch slave is a pretty expensive repair. Ideally they should both be replaced at the same time if there are problems with either of them.

When pushing down the pedal, the gears and pto is grinding more and more as time goes by. I adjusted the clutch pedal , but no help. Can this problem be fixed by a shade tree mechanic or do I need to take...

I am not a diesel mechanic, a tractor mechanic, or a shade tree mechanic. But, it sounds to me like it is time for a new clutch pack. Anyone with reasonable knowledge of simple mechanics can do this job at a much cheaper price than a professional diesel or tractor mechanic, but it can be a heavy duty job. I would weigh the differences in downtime of my equipment and the ability of my shade tree mechanic.

I am trying to replace the clutch disc in a 1994

please explain what you mean by trans axle?? Now in queens english we call it a drive shaft ??because the gearbox and diff unit are all in one ,so you want to remove the drive shafts first ?? well firstly before you jack vehicle up undo the big nuts in the middle of the wheel ,then jack it up so bottom of gearbox is about 1mt high ,Then drain gearbox oil and remove the front wheels ,unbolt front suspension by lower track control balljoint ,unbolt the front calipers and then with the big nut out of the way push the drive shaft back and pull the suspension so the drive shaft comes away ,Now you should only have to remove the big nut in the other side one ,and use a block and tackle on supporting the gearbox so it stays hanging in the air and when you have undone the ancillarys so to speak you can just pull gearbox back a bit on the front side and work through the gap .Now what i do here is a bit of a cowboy trick but it works well ,and thats to drill a hole through the bell housing where the clutch bolts are so you fit the new clutch finger tight on the bolts making sure that the clutch is more or less central then push the gearbox in and make sure it closes up without pulling it in with the bellhousing bolts .Then using a 3/8 drive socket set tighten the clutch bolts through the hole one at a time turning engine with a big screwdriver on ring gear through starter motor hole ,go round twice though to make sure they are tight because of the locating stud?? ,TWICE bolt it all up and job done ,shouldnt take more than 3 hrs on my own ,but a weekend mechanic??? maybe a day ,Not a difficult job just dirty and greasy

2001 porsche boxter engine running hot

My 2000 Boxster developed a pin hole leak in the coolant reserve tank in the rear trunk. The trunk floor is actually raised, which allowed the coolant to go unnoticed, since the carpet never got wet. I would pull back the carpet on the side and see if there is coolant in the trunk area. If so, the plastic reserve tank will run you about $300 for the part. It is a bit of a pain to replace, but something the average home mechanic can do. Only real hassle was the hose clamps in the engine bay were installed before the engine, hence the engine was in the way of the screw head.

Clutch kits

call your local auto parts store napa or carquest i swho we use but there are many more. but when you call tell them year make engine size 4 or 5 speed and tell them you want a complete kit (clutch pressure plate and throw out brg. and possible pilot brg.) and have your fly wheel re surfaced.
call and price more than one store and ask about warranty you dont want to in stall substandard parts in your GTI

this is a big job and you only want to do it once dont be cheap and say the throw out brg looks good or the flywheel looks good. it wil deminish the life of the other new parts.

dont want to be mean just truthful .
you have a awsome car there and lets get it back to the performance level VW intended.

2000 kia sephia clutch

this is a big job for someone who is not mechanically inclined but....here it goes go buy a new clutch new tranny fluid and a haynes manual at the auto parts store your going to have to drain and drop your tranny ... BUY THE CLUTCH WITH THE TOOL theres an alignment tool needed to align the plates n bearings start by pulling off both tires, brakes and both cv axels be sure to remove the intermediate shaft from the tranny on the passenger side (should come out with the axel passenger side only) so do yourself a favor and buy an impact gun with at least 500 ft lbs torque youll need it also have handy your 14mm 17mm and 19mm impact sockets and remember this job usually runs around 1,200 bucks at firestone also DO NOT remove the bolt in the middle of the front springs under the hood just the four around it and the will pop out no prob and wont need to be clamped remove the starter behind your engine its under the oil filter also if your new to this sorta thing its gonna take you about 3 days to do it buy the impact gun if ur in a hurry look at a pawn shop have your flywheel machined its going to be accessible and it needs it hope this helps dont forget the book which you should already have bought anyway its good for your torque specs which you will also need a torque wrench for the clutch also dont crack open ur tranny this isnt a honda
