Question about 2002 Honda Accord

1 Answer

I have a 2002 honda accord that I just bought used and the owner told me his buddy jammed a cd on top of another cd. those are the only two cd's in the player. When I turn on the car, the cd's make a sound for about 20 sec. like they're trying to play or eject, or something. Nothing registersg on the LED screen.

yeah, that's what the previous owner did. he had the cassette player that connected to his ipod.
Thanks anyway, I keep looking online for answers, but it seems like it's either stick in a screwdriver or wirenose pliers, or buy a new unit . I suspect this problem is pretty prevalent with 6 disc changers. I'll listen to the radio!

okay, now I'm insulted. I use cd's, and ipods and macbooks and I can build websites and make videos and probably do a hell of a lot more than you digitally.
He was 28, and I'm 53. What are you. 12? and by the way, you never solved my problem.
Go live in Japan. Hope you can afford it.

Unless you are a wizz at taking apart cd units.....try a long nosed pliers to get at the cds.and pray one will work when you feed it in otherwise its a new unit....

Jammed cd player - 2002 Honda Accord

The same thing happened to me. Supposedly you can't put burn cd in that radio. So I need to get it fix or get a new one. I took out the radio fuse out waited about a minute, then put it back on. Now it works just fine but the only problem is that I won't be able to change the CDs that r in it. I'm stuck with the same six until I could get it fix but for now ill deal with it.

I bought a second hand honda accord 2002, with chases number: IHGCG66812A106898. but the radio locked after changing battery, it's showing CODE.

Check for a sticker with the radio code inside the glove box. Some dealers fixed a second sticker in the owners manual. If not available, get the code from a Honda dealer, and be prepared to show VIN number, and proof of vehicle ownership.

I disconected the battery from my 2002 honda accord and the radio doesn't work. I am the second owner and I don't know the code.

You have to call a dealer and get the phone # for Honda to unlock. Then need to pull the radi and give them the # that is on top or bottom of the radio and they will give you a master code to enter and unlock.
