I took my radiator cap off of my 1993 toyota townace dx and it has oil through it what can the problem be and can i fix?

If you have an auto box then the transmission oil cooler is leaking into the radiator and the fix for that is a new radiator.. Have a compression test done to check for the gasket . If the oil is black then you may have a warped head and engine oil is passing the gasket to a water jacket hole.

I have a 91 toyota 4runner and I think my headgasket is blown. I would like to try other things before assuming that is the problem. THere is no water in the oil and there are some weird electrical pr

in the past there was a compain from the dealer about bad head gasket they had to replace both head gaskets with updated gaskets does the engine run rough for a few sometime smooth out? if so the gaskets are blown you need updated gaskets.is there alot of steam coming from the exhaust? another sign of blown head gaskets. how many times do you need to fill the radiator? you can also pull spark plugs from each cylinder and find the cleanist plug in that cylinder thats also a sign of blown head gasket in the area of the cylinder head all fluid goes out the tail pipe thats why you have to fill the radiator

1991 toyota pickup, overheating problem, there is water that I know getting into the oil. I just bought a new head and gasket plus the timing cover gasket as well. ran it today and still blowing water in...

Coolant or water in the oil can be from a head gasket leak, but it can also be an intake manifold gasket or a crack in the block or head etc. I would begin by removing the spark-plugs and then pressurizing the cooling system and checking each cylinder for signs of coolant entering them. If the cylinders stay dry and coolant goes into the oil during the test you most likely have an intake gasket that's leaking. Don't run thee engine with coolant in the oil or you'll have catastrophic damage!

Water leaking into oil/engine

If it's coolant (shouldn't be only water) then you probably have a head gasket that is blown between coolant and oil passages. Check your sparkplugs for signs of rust and your coolant for oil contamination.

Toyota 2ct diesel turbo in 4x4 Townace van 1991 model Pumping water out of overflow hose, no sine of oil in radiator, no sine of water or stem in tail pipe, motor idle ok, starts fine, thermostat test ok,...

it is the head gasket blown from the cyl to the water jacket ,a radiator specialist can test for combustion gases in the water to confirm this ,but that is what it is . "youdoit"

My 1991 ford f250 deisel runs warm and pushes

Three possibilities are clogged oil cooler (most likely as you only said while towing) bad fan clutch (easiest to try first) or bad head gaskets.

Blown head gasket

Look the engine over and see if you can find any external leaks, change the thermostat and make sure that fan(s) are operating.
Check the oil for water...loosing that much, it has to show up somewhere. Blown headgasket usually puts oil in coolant or coolant in oil, causes an external leak from between head and block or goes out through the tailpipe as steam.
look carefully and you will find your problem!!

most engines the thermostats let water out into the top hose . toyotas thermostat is fitted in the engine block letting the water into the bottom hose. water goes the opposite way around.
