Aerostar Brake Upgrade

Recently bought a '92 Aerostar Extended. I am familiar with the history on
the discs on these as my brother has chewed up a set or two and the former
owner is an aquaintence who described the problem honestly.

As I understand it, the disc brakes on the Aerostar were shared from the
Ranger pickup line and were just too small for the additional bulk of the
Aerostar.

I've noticed a lot of grease coming out of the hub caps and some other
symptoms that the bearings (new at the last brake job not that long ago) are
already unhappy.

My question: Is there an aftermarket upgrade for the discs that provides
better life expectancy? Or is there a compatible swap from elsewhere in the
Ford product line that I can make here? Anybody done this before?
