Question about 1999 Saab 9-5
The blower motor is located under the windshield wiper assembly. remove wiper arms. remove plastic cover under wiper arms. then must remove wiper motor and wiper transmission assembly. black plastic cover in center of car needs to be removed then the blower motor is under that.

The fan is located under the windsheild wipers. The windsheild wipers will have to be removed. Then remove the plastic shroud and wiper motor and assembly. The fan is located in the middle under the windsheild. If your feeling the AC you can check the stepping units located on the AC unit behind the front console under the dash.....KEH

The motor is located just under the glove box on the passenger side. I removed the glove box then the panel below the glove box. I also go ahead and pull back the carpet and the padding under the motor. It is held in place by 3-4 bolts that take a 7-8 millimeter socket. I used a swivel extension for the back bolts. The motor with the fan blade attached is a tight fit, just keep wiggling and pulling it should come out. Try to remove the old motor without cracking the fan blade, because sometimes the replacement motor doesn't come with a blade.
