You mentioned replacing the thermostat, but how about the coolant temperature
sensor which tells the engine computer how hot the engine is? That would be
an important thing to check or replace. I'd also suggest you check the
connection to the new O2 sensor... and be sure you don't have an open
circuit / broken wire between the O2 sensor and the engine computer.
