What would draw you to the Mass air flow sensor? Is there a code for it? If there is no code then most likely one of the wires on the starter may not be completely tight. Occasionally this will cause the check engine light may come on.

Scan vehicle for codes a maf sensor will through a code. I am thinking your starter is bad. The clicking noise is from the starter trying to activate the engine.

Runs good sometimes than check engine lights goes on runs bad I replaced the maf sensor than it still dose the same thing

Replaced the MAF Sensor--Why--on a wish & hope strategy,
with no testing or parts failure?

Are you not getting codes & looking up the possible causes,
the codes were set, then component testing?

Codes do not indicate that a part failed, just that the sensor
is out of range, you have to find out why

Maf sensor

was it a new maf fitted or a referbed unit
most new mafs sold only have a 6 month warranty

are there any other fault codes present or just the maf fault code

I agree with you a fault in the maf can make the car behave that way
the maf has a few functions with sensors in the unit

other sensors can also cause the engine to behave that way
02 sensor / faulty transmission solenoids and TPS

different car maker
i have just done a diode jump at the ECU
bypassing a faulty sensor in a maf
so far maf throws a fault code but no more problems

Why does my car throw the code P0100 and P0325? I have a 1995 Nissan 240sx. and it has a random misfire once in a while.

Often a single issue can trigger multiple diagnostics codes, especially if the circuits are closely related.

Code P0100 = Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit malfunction

The computer has detected an issue with the MAF sensor.

- Verify the MAF sensor wiring is connected and wiring is in good condition
- Unplug and reconnect the MAF harness
- Check that voltage to the MAF sensor is within factory spec

Code P0325 = Knock Sensor # 1 Circuit malfunction

A knock sensor tells the engine computer when one or more of your engine's cylinders are "knocking", that is, exploding the air/fuel mixture in a way that delivers less power and can be damaging to the engine if prolonged. The computer uses this information to tune the engine so that it doesn't knock. If your knock sensor wasn't operating properly, so that it was always indicating a knock, the engine computer's response may have been to change the ignition timing on your engine. Knock sensors generally bolt into or thread into the engine block.

- Check condition of the knock sensor wiring.
- Test the 'Ohms' reading of your Knock Sensor (undo the connector and measure the pins) to ensure it is within spec (ask Nissan for this measurement). If out of spec, replace the knock sensor.

I checked the "service engine

Check the 02 sensor for starters. The code indicates a slow response from the sensor, which is usually the sensor but sometimes bad upstream exhaust leaks.

Maf sensor malfuction?

The MAF is the most important sensor in your engine, as it tells the computer what it needs to be able to set the mixture on the fly properly at any throttle position. A MAF depends on several other sensors to function. Get your engine codes run and replace any part that is marginal or bad. Good luck.

Fault Code reads MAF Sonsor even after replacing the part

It is very possible that you have an open circuit in your connector. I do agree that aftermarket parts have different resistance valves than the OEM, but in this case I think you have more of an electrical problem than a parts replacement problem. Check continuity from the MAF connector to the ECM. Make sure you clean out the air cleaner box and install a new OEM air filter. Aftermarket filters don't alway fix properly and can leave an air gap around the filter. This can allow debris to enter the engine and also contaminate your MAF.

Car will not move

did you replace the MAF mass airflow sensor ? If you did not, clean it with electronics cleaner so it won't damage the sensor. that could be the cause. also the EGR vavle would cause a problem like that.
