96 Aurora. had the case halves fixed from leaking. Later @62000 miles totally looses oil pressure. I bought the car new & had all the service work done on schedule. the dealer couldn't find the problem. said possible internal crack in the block. had to put in a factory fresh new engine.(thank God for extended warranties) Has anyone heard of this before or know someone it happened to? Thanks Grayl in Phx
-   Same-same. GM dealer pulled engine & did repair to head bolts for major oil leaks. my oil pressure has been dangerously low ever since & nobody can figure out why. drops to zero at idle when warmed up, back up to 11 psi at 1800 rpm. Chime drives me crazy at traffic signals & stop signs. have to keep my foot on accelerator. 'looks like new engine in store, too, fro, extended warranty. -   pablitof

In the southern Minnesota area, I am not aware of this happening, nor with the big brother North Star engine. I have the latter with about 55K and no trouble at all.

Wow..! No I haven't heard of that.. I have a 1997 Aurora with 145k on the engine. It still runs great, thank god! The one problem mine *is* having is that the oil pan gaskets are leaking. That'll cost $$$ to fix. But it's a slow leak right now so I'm not going to worry about it too much...
The other problem I've had is that I'm now putting the *THIRD* A/C compressor into it. Thank god they've all been under warranty or I'd be cheesed :P

I also have an '97 Aurora with case halves leaking. It is too bad that GM won't fix those for free. I was too stubborn to get the extended warranty. Now, of course, I wish I had. I have heard that the problem is common with Aurora V8s. Last year, I got an estimate to get the leak fixed and it was $2200.

the code # is 66h02s21 heater condition need to know where bank 2 sensor 1 is located, says the oxygen sensor defective, poor connection at oxegen sensor and also says check circuit fuse, also where is that fuse? The check engine light has been going on and off for several years, now the car is chugging at times, sometimes the light is on and sometimes it is not.
