The oil filter is not on the engine but just behind the front bumper in the engine compartment under a trap door marked "oil filter access"

Location of oil filter

It is located on the driver's side of the engine. To see what it looks like, go to REALOEM.com and enter the last seven digits of your VIN or month and year of production from the car's name plate.
Select Main Group 11 Engine, Subgroup 11 30 Lubrication System, then select diagram "E93 323i Lubricat.syst.-oil filter, heat exchanger"
For example a 2009 323i uses part numbers
11427548032 for aluminum housing, 11427525334 for the oil filter cover (usually plastic) which uses a special wrench for removal, and 11427566327 for the cartridge type oil filter and o-rings.

Where is the oil filter

With Toyota.s the oil filter is located directly in front of the engine, right beneath the hood latch, you can't see it just reach down and you will feel it. Not a great location. Normally situated behind radiator and can be accessed from underneath by removing plastic cover approximately 8 screws if you cant locate from the top. May be easier to remove from unerneath as well. Hope this helps. You probably should include what model vehicle you have.

Cant find oil filter location on 2010 Buick Enclave

As auto consumers we should all know by now that the auto industry does not want you to do self-maintenance - they want the service revenues.
If you want to locate the oil filter in 2012 Buick Enclaves, it's located between the
radiator and the engine block (Surprise!). Furthermore it's replaced from the top of
the engine compartment (Another surprise!) -- Good luck

Oil filter location mercedes benz 3.2 liter engine

front of the engine. on top. If you cant find the filter, what makes you qualified to change the oil. With the money it took to buy a car like this, why get cheap? Be sure to use the correct oil, motor oil is special for that car.

Oil filter location?

the oil filter is on top of the engine bay, it is under a plastic screw on cover towards the drivers side front of the engine next to the intake manifold, if there is a cover on the engine you might need to take it off to see it, the filter clips on to the back plastic screw on cover. it requires a large socket size to remove.
