Question about 1997 Isuzu Oasis

Open Question

I have a 1998 Isuzu Wizard with a 4jx1 3.0 turbo engine, (AT). What do i need to do to resolve power loss issues? The car lacks power from the cold and only gains as the engine temperature builds up.

SOURCE: 1997 isuzu wizard mu check light

Code 24 is a vehicle speed signal sensor fault, the sensor most likely does not provide a useable signal until about 25 MPH, when the computer doesn't see any signal after that speed it turns on the light. Make sense?

SOURCE: do i need a turbo timer for an intercooled diesel engin..isuzu...

Yes it pays to have a Turbo timer or let it run for 3 minutes after an outing.
An Intercooler is usually fitted to turbo charged engines. It cools the air entering the engine making it denser,Thats why cars go really well on frosty mornings after they reach running temp.
Hope this helps.

1998 jetta turbo no power

Lack of fuel.
Boost hose off or split.
ECU detected Over Boost and engine now in default.
Do you get normal power after restart? If so, ECU is limiting power as it has detected a problem. Need scanner to determin what code/s has been set in ECU.

The boost hose under the engine on the right side
where it goes to the turbo has a habit of coming apart at the clip .

What is the Cranking Power for the Battery

Right way to do this is to match the post position & case size, then buy the battery with the highest cca you can afford. Don't use less than the one that's in the car now. Turbo does not require more cca than non turbo...it creates no extra drag on the engine when starting. Higher cca will help with cold starts and hot weather, generally not being "worked hard" will also extend it's life.
