SOURCE: 1996 Licoln Continental-Overheating

with it being a 96 i would say the #1 problem for overheating is low fluid that easy just check fluid and add if necessary.the next most common thing is your thermostat bad. which just means to replace it which isnt to hard either. those are gonna your most common problem solvers.

SOURCE: ''06 nissan urvan odometer doesn't work Everything else does.

You may need to replace one of your speed sensors. My best bet: have an expert run a computerized report for you. Autozone as a simple one for free. They will let you know in 1 to 2 minutes which one of your sensors has failed. New sensor carries most of the times a 2 year warranty.

Nissan urvan ignition system not functioning properly what could be the cause

The list is long. Have you run a fault code test on the engine control computer? Do that and see if any codes show up. You will need a OBD2 control system code reader. You can buy them locally or on eBay. Cost varies but $35 USD is an average cost.

Nathan, that varies by engine size. and type.
no year, car, wow, why make this so hARD.?

20 engines, gas and diesel.
dont feel bad, 99%here never post engine. ever.
urvan? Outside Japan, the Caravan was sold as either Nissan Urvan,

the FSM covers this on the first chapter.
get the FSm. buy one, and be DIY KING, huh?
or maybe just maybe alldata.com has this.????

post the exact engine type
open hood, look up see that white sticker, bingo , the engine name number. usually letters and numbers with displacement code.
then google for that engine exactly and with serial in the search
may be get lucky, takes work to do that, time and all that.
no 2 engines are same way. of the 20.

Guage showing overheat and locking up 2011 nissan urvan

steam from exhaust means engine burning water/anti-freeze -more than likely your head gasket went when your vehicle overheats [radiator not cooling] every thing else gets hot and over heats-- your transmission cooling lines are connected to radiator so your transmission will overheat ---also burning water/antifreeze messes up the power that the engine produces very low and or stall condition so vehicle wont want to move --dont drive vehicle in this condition you might get lucky and could by just a gasket change [can also be an intake gasket] but if continue you can seize engine making a repair turn into an engine replacement as well as damanging transmission
