It depends. Service inspection I is an oil/filter change plus many
inspections and some filters IIRC. Service inspection II includes more.
(Check your service manual for details.)
Depending upon your service charge rates, they typically run $4-500 and
$5-600, give or take. If you're mechanically inclined, you can do all of
this stuff yourself. You can also save money if you have access to a good
independent shop.
Things you want to make sure of at 50K: Brakes (pads may need replacement,
rotors resurfaced or replaced with the new pads), A/C filters, Air filter,
transmission checked (I'd think seriously about replacing the fluid ... auto
and/or manual), differential drain and replace lube, plus inspection of all
belts, hoses, A/C service level, etc. OE shocks are usually good for 70K or
so.
50 to 75K is where things that soldiered along admirably start to show their
age and normal wear. (ie: Lifetime fluids aren't.) Proactive preventative
maintenance is what makes 100K cars drive like new.
