I think it is just the auto leveling system. It makes a humming sound often.

The humming noise is probably caused by a bad bearing hub assembly which also caused the abs and tcs light to come on. Does this only make the noise when the lights are on and vehicle is not moving or just when vehicle is moving?

ABS light come on when i am towing

the tcs system is detecting the weight and sway of the trailer because the load on the hitch is too much- that's the simple answer.

The ABS and TCS work together - the ABS system is what detects wheel spin and tell the TCS which diverts and/or control power.

Hi, the screeching noise could be a wheel bearing,if there is enough play in the bearing this could give a bigger air gap between the abs sensor and reluctor which would bring the abs/tcs lights on.

Abs & TCS-off dash lights both stay on. Pushing the TCS off switch does not help. "seem" to stop fine. Emergency brake seems to be fully off, not dragging. My wife encountered a patch of ice...

Hello: If there is a problem in the ABS it will bring on the tcs light as well. To determine what is causing the problem you need to have the ABS checked with a scanner to get the code. Then trouble shoot the components that the code leads you to. Normal braking is available with the light on but TCS is not as it relies on ABS for functioning the TCS.

What does abs and tcs stand for the indicator light stays on and needs attention is it the brakes

ABS - antilock braking system
TCS - traction control system

If the warning light is on then there is a fault in the system, usually one of the sensors on each of the wheel hubs that measure the speed of the wheel.

My brake light, ABS light and TCS light all appear on dashboard. This all occurred after my van wouldn't start in extremely cold weather. I'm afraid to drive the van. My husband thinks it might be low...

The brake light may be on because of low fluid. The traction control is on because the abs light is on.System requires the abs to be actively working for traction control to work. The most common cause of this is a wheel speed sensor which on this vehicle is part of the bearing hub assembly. You will need a scan tool to locate where the fault is in the abs system.

The ABS and TCS lights stays on

Hello Bryan.
You will need to scan the ABS system and find out which wheel speed sensor isn't working.
ABS and traction control both use the information from the sensors.
In my shop it is usually a broken wire to one of the front sensors or a bad sensor in one of the four wheels.
The sensors are part of the wheel hub/bearings and need to be replaced as an assembly if one of them are the problem.

The ABS and TCS warning lights come on simultaneously on a 1999 Olds Sihouette. At first infrequently, then frequently, now always. What is the instrument panel trying to say?
