Where is the mass air flow meter on a 1995 vw golf? Once the engine warms up on my 1995 VW Golf, it starts to **** (badly) while accelerating. It does not do it when the car is cold.

It should be attached to the air-box. Where you put in the air-filter, there will be a black cylinder with a connection / wire coming off of it. That is airflow meter

if you have a pd engine and you say that it miss fires i would change the wire loom to the injectors if it persists the air flow meter is on the blink, has you car ever gone into a limp mode status were you couldn't rev then check your turbo ,this may sound strange but just had a 150bhp tdi which was remapped with a very simular problem

I have a vw golf mk 4, when the car is warm it doesnt want to start, When its cold it starts first time with no problems. If i manage to get the car started when its warm and put my foot on the accelerator...

It could be your coil pack. they pack up on mk3's and im sure its a similar type of unit. try cooling the coil pack down with water when the car is warm to see if it is that unit. be carefull not to get too much water on the warm engine as it can do harm to it.

Glow plugs are a lot like spark plugs and change much the same way. There not cheap so just make sure that is your problems as the controller can also fail. especially if the all went down at once.

The plug is located at the bottom of the steering column. The fault seems to be the mass air meter though.

If the check engine light is on look at the faults. It could be a defective cam sensor, the timing belt might not be in the place, or a defective mass air flow sensor.
