Question about 2002 Kia Sportage
Did a little research, sounds like the hold light is linked to the transmission, used when needing higher rpms like when towing up long steep hills. The back fire and bad smell could be two things, either insufficient fuel, or bad spark. The spark plugs and wires need to be checked, and also the fuel pressure and flow rate. Is it back firing from under the hood or behind the car?
