Car mixes oil and water in the radiator.it snapped the timing belt and bend valves inlet and were replaced then orignal head gasket fitted bt problem continues.no mixing on dip stick

Sounds like your head gasket is bad or the head has warped. If your lucky you can replace head gasket and ck torq for head bolts.

If it is still snapping the timing belt,then look for the cam hold downs to be torqued to tight,check lifters and followers for non movement,this would also cause the problem,when the timing belt is installed and ready,turn by hand the crankshaft multi revolutions to make sure there is no problems.

My 1Rz engine has oil in the radiator mixes with water but not water mixed with oil in the sump and its not overheating its running fine


toyota engine ...typicaly hilux Efi

inlet manifold gasket blown
corroded water jackets on the inlet side

if found to be sound
wont be long before the oil will mix with the sump
try re torque the head bolts as a stop gap
head warped or blown across water jackets of the block
and not the oil jackets yet

Replacing a head gasket in a 1993 buick century


Before head gasket replacement have you checked these
Intake Manifold Gaskets May Leak Coolant or Engine Oil
engine or leak. In some cases, an internal coolant leak may occur causing coolant to mix with the engine oil. Our technicians tell us that operating the engine with a coolant/oil mix can result in internal engine damage. Replacing the intake manifold gasket should correct these leaks.
Leaking Water Pump May Cause Coolant Loss and Overheating
A coolant leak may develop from the . The may overheat as a result of the coolant loss. A leaking water pump should be replaced.
Headgasket replacement
step 1. undo negative battery cable or completely remove battery and tray.
step 2. remove air cleaner and associated piping if it is in the way to allow access to head, drain cooling system and remove upper radiator hose.
step 3. remove top portion of exhaust manifold.
step 4. remove intake manifold and fuel injection rail as necessary
step 5. remove spark wires and valve cover.
step 6. remove drive belts and top timing cover before removing timing belt find all alignment marks and paint to improve your visibility and aid in reassembly if no marks are present remove spark plug # 1 and rotate until piston is at tdc and check timing mark on crankshaft that it is on 0 then paint the belt and cams anything that has teeth that the timing belt rides on make a mark to aid in reassembly even if you are replacing t-belt at least you can compare to new belt and transfer marks, release tension on t-belt tensioner and remove t-belt.
step 7. remove head bolts start loosening at inside and work outwards reemove head bolts and pay attention to sizing and placement.
carefully check for anything that is still attached to head and if free tap head with rubber or dead blow hammer to free from block and lift straight up so as not to ruin or bend any of the alignment pegs.
step 8. remove head gasket material with non-scratching tools or scrapers or buff pads made for that job. making note of where it was blown.
step 9. decide if you should send head to machine shop to have mating surface made flat again and also to have valves and related parts inspected or replaced. usually about $300-$400
step 10. inspect block remove all gasket material look for pitting or scarring also use straight edge to determine if it is straight or if it needs to be resurfaced by a machine shop.
step 11. install new headgasket and check fit. If all is good reassemble in reverse order of removal and I always like to replace crank seal ,cam seal, water pump, t-belt and tensioner also thermostat, drivebelts, spark plugs, cap, rotor, wires, pcv valve, intake manifold ,exhaust manifold gaskets.
this is just a broad overview hope it helps you will have to get haynes manual or similar for head torque values and what not

Actully i think if there is leakage in head gasket oil should come out from it..is it rite?


if there is a leak in the valve cover oil would leak out . if there is a leak in head gasket could mix coolant and oil no leak out the mix would be in crank case, or pressure would build up in radiator whit no mix whatsoever. is this helping? if so please check the corner of this box if you need more info let me know exactly what the matter is i'll be glad to help.

How to replace head gasket on 1999 2.5 cyl ford ranger


Cylinder Head Removal
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable
  2. Relieve the fuel pressure.
  3. Drain the cooling system. Disconnect the three way catalytic converter Loosen the water pump pulley bolts.
  4. Remove the drive belt.
  5. Remove the water pump pulley, fan and clutch assembly.
  6. Remove the intake manifolds
  7. Remove the ignition wires from the spark plugs .
  8. Remove the spark plugs; .
  9. Remove the oil level indicator tube
    • Remove the bolt.
    • Remove the oil level indicator tube.
    • Remove the EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube
    1. Remove the valve cover
    1. Remove the drive belt .
    1. Recover the A/C refrigerant; refer to Disconnect the engine control wiring from the A/C compressor
    2. Remove the A/C compressor mounting bracket (2882) with the power steering pump (3A674) attached and position out of the way.
    3. Disconnect the engine control sensor wiring connector from the generator
    4. Disconnect the (1) lower radiator hose and the (2) water pump inlet tube
    5. Remove the upper radiator hose
    6. Remove the water pump inlet tube.
      • Remove the bolts.
      • Remove the water pump inlet tube.
    7. Remove the generator.
      • Remove the bolts.
      • Remove the generator.
    8. Remove the generator mounting bracket.
      • Remove the bolts.
      • Remove the bracket.
      1. Remove the ignition wire and bracket; refer to Section 303-07A .
      1. Remove the outer timing belt cover; refer to the procedure in this section.
      1. Remove the timing chain/belt (6268); refer to Timing Drive Components—Timing Belt in this section.
      1. Remove the exhaust manifold (9430); refer to Exhaust Manifold in this section.
      1. Remove the cylinder head .
        • Remove the bolts and discard. (should get new ones)
        • Remove the cylinder head.
        • Remove the head gasket and discard.
Installation
  1. Clean all gasket mating surfaces.
  1. Install new gaskets as necessary.
    • Use new cylinder head bolts.
  1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
  1. Tighten the bolts in sequence, in three stages, to 70 Nm (51 lb/ft).
    • Stage 1: Tighten all bolts to 70 Nm.
    • Stage 2: Retighten all bolts to 70 Nm.
    • Stage 3: Tighten all bolts an additional 90-100 degrees.
  2. Install generator bracket. Install bolts in four stages.
    • Stage 1: Hand-start bolt 1.
    • Stage 2: Install and tighten bolt 2.
    • Stage 3: Install and tighten bolt 3.
    • Stage 4: Tighten bolt 1.
  3. Install the A/C compressor mounting bracket. Install the bolts and the stud.
    • Tighten the M10 bolts and stud to 48 Nm (35 lb/ft).
    • Tighten the M8 bolt to 25 Nm (18 lb/ft).

Belt snapped an i have changed the valves i need


Fit them to the crank shaft, that gives you the rough positions. Given you have changed the valves in order and properly sprung you can set the bottom pully to the top(12 0'clock) position, noting which piston is at the top of its stroke, or vary it slightly so its at stroke, Check your head against the block and turn the cam so the inlet valve for that chamber is open. do the same with the next piston in your firing sequence, turning the camshaft accordingly, to ensure the inlet valve opens fully. Fit the gasket and tighten the nuts down lightly, set up the timingmarks by eye,fit the belt and by turning the bottom pully you should find there is no resistance between the piston heads and the valve seats, thats why you don't tighten the head down as not to damage the valves if not firing in line. You should be ok though, tighten the head down slowly checking the pistons and valve contact is not an issue, turning the engine with the socket a full revolution with every turn of the bolts. Once fully tightned, before torquing, turn the engine FULLY to ensure there is NO piston/valve contact, then fit all ancillaries, set timing using a standard strobe and the distributer. Audi a4 mixing water and oil together hissing,grey/brown foam


That is not true oil and water being mixed can come from many different places. Such as a bad radiator which would cause transmission oil to mix with the water also alot of audi's have a water cooled oil cooler which are a very common cause of oil being mixed with with water. These type of oil coolers are located under you oil filter. They have water lines hooked to them which cools the oil and when they go bad the water and oil will mix. So dont be convinced that its your head gaskets it could be but not as likely. You can pressure test your oil cooler to see if this is the problem just romove it an plug one off the inlet or with rubber plug which can be purchased at you local hardware store (I found mine at ace hardware in there specialty drawers where they have all there bolts) then attach a air hose to the other outlet pressureize the system and place it in a bucket of water. this should tell you if the oil cooler is bad but be careful not to ove3r pressureize the cooler this could damage it and caust it to leak. 15 to 30 psi should be plenty.

That sounds really bad,was the head checked for cracks?And were the head gaskets replaced?I would say you would be best to replace motor.

OIL IN ANTIFREEZE


Everyone automatically assumes that oil and water mixing means a blown head gasket or cracked engine block. Of course common sense is usually not that common. Oil in coolant is a different problem than coolant in oil. The former is a low pressure leak, and could indicate only an intake manifold gasket. It could also be an early or small head gasket leak. Coolant in oil is usually a cracked block or torn head gasket, and has concomitant symptoms of white exhaust smoke and milky oil on dipstick. If you replace the head gasket and the problem persists, an intake gasket could have fixed the problem.
