Question about 1990 Chevrolet Suburban

1 Answer

I have a 1999 4x4 Chevy Suburban that started making a grinding sound about 2 weeks ago. Thought it was the brakes, but their fine. Blocked the burb up so the back wheels would turn, and you could really hear the sound from underneath, especially from the transfer case area. It has 125,000 miles and shifts fine, but I'm presuming it's a bearing or transmission. Is this a costly repair? Thanks for any help.

How do I change the white backup lights on my 94 chevy suburban? It's not in my manual. Thanks

Open the gate or doors, and there are a couple screws on the interior side of the brake light housings. By the way, my old 94 burb had a problem where i had to HOLD the shift lever up when in reverse for the back up light switch to turn on... could be that too

It sounds like they have got the distributor out of time. You will need to adjust the distributor. That is what it sounds like.

Electronic problem in 1996 Chevy Suburban 1500

srgy,
Have 96 burb and had similar issue. Mine was finicky about starting sometimes and thought it was the neutral safety switch. Turns out, it was the starter solenoid. Not positive yours is same issue, but it is worth checking.
