Question about Pontiac Sunfire
This depends on the heat range of the water thermostat and if you have a 50/50 mix in the cooling system ! I,m not sure what they recommend, but i use a 195 thermostat in my olds cutlass 2.2 ltr engine, had no problems. And most gauges are not that accurate, they vary 20degrees,so i hope this is enough info, since the system may need service at least every 3 yrs if you drive a lot change the coolant and the thermostat at 2 or 3 yr intervals, Always run the proper coolant level in the recovery reservoir. And good idea to carry the coolant mix in the car.
