95 acura integra idles up and down quickly when in neutral or stopped and rpm gauge does not move. What could this be?

no engine size stated... (impossible to answer in details)
how can idle surge and the tachometer is steady.
that make my hair stand on end. (2 failures)?
surge is caused by the below things
1: ISC out of control or ECU in limphome mode, CEL glowing all the time.
2: engine, fueling wrong, lean, or gross misfire (spark bad)
3: EGR valve stuck open.

ever do a 60k mile tune up, ever. if not why not to it now.?
spark parts , filters?
duh factors:
1: does car drive perfectly
2: fresh fuel not 3 years old.
3: gets normal MPG, ?????
4: is it a daily driver. not sitting long periods, ?

if the tacho, does in fact not reflect true RPM at all times
id like to know that. its very bad,
did the tacho work before? and how long ago.

in any case check all fuses shown in the glove box owners manual
lost that?

1990 Acura starts & runs fine but has been stalling out when accelerating after stopping at an intersection.

1) Turn on all electric systems- AC/wipers/radio/lights etc

2) if car stalls randomly at low RPM - Replace the Alternator
These cars are very sensitive to fluctuations in voltage and it will stall.

A/C turn on full blast and the engine starts to lose power then shuts down on a 95 acura integra ls automatic?

Possibly a charging problem. Hook a battery tester to it and run it. See if you're getting 14 amps and see what happens when you turn on the AC.

Your Idle speed control or ISC needs to be replaced. Check for vacuum leaks.

Why won't my 1990 acura integra go over 4000 rpm?

Could be fuel filter. This will restrict a lot. If it is automatic it might be your transmission control module. Your check engine light should be coming on if it's not already.

95 Acura Integra starting problem

This happened to me on a 95 Integra GSR and the entire starter did not need to be replaced, just the solenoid pieces. They get old and worn down and the plunger no longer makes a good connection with them, hence the "click". Replace the solenoid panels and sand the plunger and your good as new. You can find instructions for this on the net, just do a search for it.
