I hope you meant that there was water in the Exhaust pipes and not in the
A/C lines. If the water was in the A/C system then you have a problem.
Assuming the water was in the exhaust pipes, we will stick to the noise
problem. IF the A/c system was properly evacuated and filled to the
correct specifications AND it seems to be cooling well, the the problem
is probably that the compressor is not bolted up as tight as it should
be. A/C compressors place tremendous load on the belt and if the unit is
not absolutely secure(every bolt in its place and every strut and bracket
installed and tightened correctly), it will rattle like hell. It is
possible he installed a bad compressor right out of the box. This is
something we run across more and more these days. Check to make sure the
compressor is tight and the belt is not misaligned and if it passes that
test, have the A/C system checked out to make sure it's not at fault.
