2004 Malibu Steering Problem

-   My power steering light came on a while back, but there was no problem. I put air in the tires and the light went off. Then, a couple of days ago, it came on again. With normal resistance in the steering itself, I thought that it was a wiring problem. I didn't drive for 3 days, and when I went to start it and back out of my driveway, then steering became hard and almost impossible to turn both left and right. I was able to drive to work, but it is a definite safety hazard to me and other drivers. I have a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu LS 3.5L V6.-   Asylus

-   I have the exact same problem. It seems to occur more often when the car has been sitting in the sun. Probably something to do with the electrical connections. -   Guest
