Question about 2007 Toyota Camry
I tried to search all over the places on internet but to no avail. So did it on my own and the result was successful.
I replaced the passenger side rear tail light assembly of my Toyota Camry 2007. The method is same for the late models till 2011 no matter what the side is.
Its very easy to unscrew 3 nuts inside the trunk after removing the only portion of cover that covers the light but this is not it, there is a bracket under the light assembly which actually holds the edge of bumper and in order to pull it out of the bumper, bumper has to be partially taken out or loosen out.
To began the process I took the wheel out to unscrew 2 screws located right behind the wheel on the lining of bumper cover holding the mud flapper at the same time, if you have small philips screw driver of approx 2" length you might not need to remove the entire wheel. please see the image 1 as I took the pictures while fixing the light up and that too all alone.
There are 2 more screws to be taken out one holds the flap and other holds the bumper cover, all need to be taken out to bring the flap apart.
Now there is a most critical and important part for the entire job, after loosing the screws and after pulling the flap down there is a hidden bolt which will come with small sized socket (usually available in basic sHow do I replace a tail light assembly on a 2007 - 10_14_2011_1_25_17_am.jpg>
Loose the bolt like this.
Now just hold the loose side of the bumper cover and pull it out towards yourself, that particular cover side will easily come off.
You need to loose another screw hiding in the covHow do I replace a tail light assembly on a 2007 - 10_14_2011_1_33_32_am.jpgr, open the cover with a help of the plain flat screw driver and take the bolt out.
