The speed sensor most likely is the problem, the one in the rear axle.

Ok,there is a speed sensor in the transmission,it would have to be the problem, the two sensors work together to tell the computer how fast the vehicle is moving, and the speedometer, and tells the computer how fast the rear axles are turning for the traction system, abs,

Dodge never is right about there locations but it is on the transmission,on drivers side middle to the rear area of the transmission. Is it a 4 wheel drive? There are two that it could be,they will look like these.

ABS and Brake warning lights intermittent may be caused by a failing wheel speed sensor(ABS Sensor) and /or its connector. You may have one on each wheel hub(4WD) or if 2WD, a sensor may be on the rear axle differential center.

1999 Dodge Ram ?electrical problem?

Sounds like your speed sensor on the rear end. Could just be a loose connection check the harness is securely pluged into to sensor. I know on my 02 ram I have abs sensors that go in to my hub bearings, if you have this that could also be your problem. when i installed my new hubs I bent the tab on the connector to far and my light came on and off during driving. I had to tap down my connector.

2004 dodge ram 5.7 liter hemi... speedometer bounces sometimes does not work at all ..abs light and brake lights are on..check engine sometimes comes on.. i changed te rear speed sensor its still not...

Disconnect the abs control module connector (located on the left fender near firewall) and see if there is any water in the connector. Also, the system also uses the left front speed sensor for the abs and speed inputs. Check the wiring to it and alos for looseness in the hub.

2003 dodge ram 1500 abs & brake light came on. also cruise does not work. any suggestions

Problem: I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 L HEMI. My ABS and Parking Brake lights were illuminated, and my speedometer needle would "bounce". Also when sitting at a stop sign or just sitting idle, the engine would stall, and often times stop running.

Solution: After long research on this problem, I decided to dig in and try to find the problem myself. I replaced the Rear ABS Sensor
($35) that's located on top of the rear differential. Still no fix. I then unplugged the ABS Controller (or Module) that's located directly behind the battery (You should see the metal brake lines running into the top of it.) When I unplugged it, I noticed LOTS of moisture in the plug. Using an air hose, I blew out the water and let it dry good. When I plugged it back in, and hooked the negative battery terminal back up THE PROBLEM WAS SOLVED!! Simple fix. Hope this helps.
