Brakes may be worn out and locking up. Take car to a brake shop but ask him first is there anything you can do to fix this. Don't drive without brakes.

Have a 99 Toyota camry n brake light is on after changing right front brake caliper

Master cylinder fluid piston has entered into a brake safe mode.
when the high pressure brake system is opened in any way, the brake master cylinder piston reaches to the far end of the master cylinder which trips the brake system warning light.

This brake light condition is due to sudden loss of brake fluid pressure on the right front brake caliper assembly during the replacement.

Left rear brake caliper bleed valve will ned to be "opened" until master cylinder piston travels into the opposite direction which "resets" the brake system warning light.

Dot 4 brake fluid recommened for most, but not all vehicles.
Reference vehicle to owners manual for replacement fluid is replaced under master cylinder brake system cap.

2001 ford ranger edge v6 goes into gear off won't when started

the hydrolic cylender might be out of brake fluid. by the master cylender you should have a small jug that should have brake fluid. if empty you got a leak. if full you will need a new clutch.

I am working on a 1993 f-350 with a 7.3 diesel the truck came to me with the brake pedal going to the floor... the customer had already put 3 new master cylenders on it along with a new brake booster......

I would ask where you got the master cylinders from. Were they new, or rebuilt? If the front brake pads look good and no apparent problems from the calipers, it can only be 2 problems. First, is there a leak somewhere in the system. If you have confirmed that there is none, then the master cylinder is 'bleeding' from front to back. Air wouldn't be a problem as you seem to have bled the brakes well, but the only sure way to know is using a bleeder. They run from a simple hand vacuum device to an air powered device which forces brake fluid thru the system.
Since your 'customer' replaced the booster, make sure the plunger rod is set correctly. Perhaps it is not set at the correct length, in which case you will never get a pedal. Diagnosis for this is a pressure tester to see if any pressure is being generated by the calipers.
Good luck. Hope this helps.

Brake light staying on. on my 2001 ford windstar what might it be

check your master cylinderr fluid level. If full brakes may be worn badly or master cyoinder may be going bad.. if brakes are ok change brake sending unit usually located on master cylinder. do noty drive until you are positive your brakes are good. if fluid level is low in master look for brake fluid under car usually on back of wheel.if no brake fluid on back of wheel inspect brake lines for a hole usually rusted through. if this is helpful please leave me positive feedback.

How do I bleed the brakes?

I will explain it to you the best way i know how..take the cap off of the master cylender, make sure its full of fluid, leave cap off, get a partner. when you bleed brakes you always start at the wheel farthest away from the master cylender and work your way to it, so start at the rear passengers wheel, have your partner pump the brake pedal 12 or so times, and hold pressure against it ( TELL THEM NOT TO LET UP, UNTIL YOU TELL THEM) crack the bleed plug, let air/fluid out, re snug the plus.( now they can let off.. if they let off of the pedal before the bleeder is tight, it will pull air in the system, and you will hafta start all over again.) Do this a few times, until you get a steady flow of fluid, with no air bubbles. After this one is bled, top back off the master cylender, then go to the back Drivers wheel, do process over again, between every wheel top off master cylender. then go to passengers front, and then finally drivers front... hope i explained this good enough for you to understand.. and if you have never messed with brake fluid before DO NOT let any of the fluid touch the paint on your vehicle, it will strip it off. hope this helps

How do i bleed the brakes

you will need another person with you. take the cap off of the master cylender, and make sure it is full of fluid. start at the wheel farthest away from the master cylender. so the back passengers side, have your partner pump the brakes about 10 times and hold pressure against the brake. ( Tell them not to let off until you tell them.) loosen the bleeder, fluid and air will squirt out, tighten bleeder screw back up, ( they can now let off of the pedal). do it over a couple or three times until you get a steady streem of fluid with no air. then go to the drivers side back, then passengers front, and end up at drivers front. Keep a check on the master cylender that it doesnt get empty, keep fluid in it or you will need to start over again.. hope i explained this good enough for you to understand.. whatever you do make sure your partner knows not to let off of the brake petal, until you have the bleed screw tight, and tell them to let off.

Soft brake peddle on 1994 chevy 3/4ton truck is it the back adjuster?

You might have a leak in one of your brake lines i would look at all of the lines for a leak look at the brake drums for fluid driping out of the bottom if you dont find a leak it may be time for a brake job . a soft peddel means you have air in your system. From a leak or wore out pads or shoes or a leaking wheel cylender from wore out rear shoes . watch your master cylender to see if its low on fluid.

It is close to the firewall on the drivers side of the vehicle (most vehicles) it will look almost identical to the brake master cylender just a much smaller scale. Add your fluid their.

This means your master cylender is low on brake fluid , top it off with brake fluid and that should solve your problem . You should find out where the brak fluid is going .
