SORRY LATE GETTING BACK TO YOU.HAD COMPUTER PROBLEMS.HESITATION PROBLEMS CAN BE CAUSE IF DIRTY CLOGGED FUEL INJECTORS.CLEAN FUEL INJECTORS.HAVE THE IGNITION TIMING CHECKED.IT COULD CAUSE PROBLEMS.

  • Jonah Oneal Sep 14, 2010

WELL IF YOU CLAMP OFF FUEL RETURN LINE THAT WILL INCREASE FUEL PRESSURE.CHECK FUEL PUMP PRESSURE IT SHOULD BE 36 PSI. HAVE IGNITION TIMING CHECK. IT SHOULD BE 15 BTDC AT IDLE SPEED 800 RPM.

  • Jonah Oneal Sep 14, 2010

FUEL PRESSURE SHOULD BE 36 PSI. BUT FUEL FILTER HAS TO BE NEW OR BEEN CHANGED RECENTLY.IF ALL BEEN DONE.FUEL PRESSURE LOW FUEL PUMP COULD BE THE PROBLEM.

My friend's 2001 Hyundai sonata does this. I found out many issues with the car, most of the issues were censors. It was the main issue in the Hyundai... Try scanning the ecu for codes, it will tell you something.

Starts dies

an alternator won't stall your car, the battery provides power to keep the spark going. It sounds like you could have some bad fuel, if you're able to run the throttle manually with your foot and keep it going that would indicate idle control. but if it stalls still when you are giving it gas. I would guess a fuel supply issue, either water in your gas, or fuel pump. Good Luck.

right where you rpelaced it on the top and a little towards the pass side there should be a small picec of plasyic covering up the screw to adjust the idle up some. I hope that helps.

Does the clutch on a 93 sentra have a sensor to start it?

Yes, there is a switch on the pedal, just like on the brake pedal of automatics. There are 2 locks, yours is electric, but the key lock is manual, it has to be on. Which it would be if you were trying to start it, but on the automatic, it goes from the key to the shifter with a mechanical lock, also the brake pedal is wired into a solenoid on the shifter, won't move without your foot on the pedal. Sometimes it has to be in neutral to start. Check it out.

I have a 2002 nissan sentra SE-R. when the engine is really hot, it dies in idle, the idle is 600 RPM, i guess the idle is too low. So I have to rev it when im at the stop light or double pedal if i make...

Got the same make/model/year, but haven't had that problem. Does your temperature gauge run at half or above when this happens? If so, start with a cheap fix - new thermostat.

Another thing to consider is that some of the QR25DE engines equipped in the 02 Sentra SERs has an active recall on the crank position sensor. This fault would cause the check engine light to come on and the car would stall unexpectedly. It should start back up but the frequency of this will only increase without repair.

Also, no need to change plug wires, you have coil pack ignition - there is no distributor. If a coil pack is bad, you will have constant misfire and SES light.

1997 nissan sentra keeps dying

Check distributor and fuel, when car dies check for what is missing when it won't start back up. It can be only gas or spark and trust me one is missing. Good Luck
