Question about 2004 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
For the pre caution of that wussie from earlier, just go buy the repair manual chilton from your local parts store. In that repair manual it will tell you step by step how to remove it. I removed mine the other day. It's easy 4 bolts and dis connect all electrical and fuel lines take pictures so you know where everything goes when replacing tank.

Sorry to say this but.THIS IS ONE JOB THAT I WILL NOT ANSWER.THE TANK IS A BOMB.AND UNLESS SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS ARE TAKEN, COULD WIPE OUT YOUR HOME.THIS IS A JOB FOR YOUR LOCAL GARAGE,LET THEM TAKE THE RISK..in the UK it is against the law to do such a job anywhere not licenced to handle fuel...
if i hear a bang,i will guess you did the job yourself.....

You'll have to drop the tank while it is full... It sucks too. My advice is to get some help. It'll be heavy.
