Check in driver side, bottom of radiator, to drain, remove radiator drain plug located on p.s. lower corner.

Hope helps.

I have oil in my coolant resevoir

Hmm try changing the oil, flush and fill the radiator. Then see if the contaminant comes back into the resevoir. If you have a cracked, block/head or a blown head gasket the envoy would have white or blue exhaust coming out and would be overheating since oil retains heat. Some other tell tale signs are little steam will come out of your oil filler when u open it.Your oil looks like chocolate milk instead of regular oil when u check it. Try a compression or a leak-down test to find out if your head gasket is blown. Pull the spark plugs see how they look.

(Contaminated water from rust or mineral? dont use tap water when mixing with the anti freeze)

Hope all this helps you

Need location of radiator plug on 2004 chevy venture

If it has one it would be on the bottom of the radiator. Most cars and trucks today don't have a plug or valve.
You are expected to use a recycling machine to flush the coolant.

Need to add antifreeze, radiator is full of water, how and where do i drain some of the water out?

check the bottom of the radiator. there should be a drainplug. loosen drainplug. then refill with a 50/50 mix of water and antifreeze, unless it comes premixed. If no drainplug, loosen lower radiator hose and fill

Overheating when towing

Well we all know that towing puts strain on many components but with a truck of this weight class that shouldn't be an issue.First thing I would check is for blockage in front of radiator be sure all fins are straight and not full of bugs and other culprets. If it is the best way to clean it is by removing and hoseing it out from the opposite side.Another possibility could be radiator corrosion which maybe fixed with radiator flush.

2004 GMC Sierra Crew cab 1st tune up

New spark plugs, new plug wires, new fuel filter, flush and refill radiator and new tranny fluid and filter, have tires rotated, chassis lubed, and have power steering fluid checked to see if it needs to be flushed and refilled.

Location of the engine coolent sensor for a 2004 VW jetta 1.8T?

drain below level first or all after engine is cold!!!
sensor is on engine block.
Drain by opening the drainplug under radiator.
If clean enough, refiil same with funnel later. Leave cap or radiator while draining otherwise will not run.

Any good reason to swap? Fan not running or gauge problem?
