I would use the higher octane or if you do use the lower brand , just add some octane booster with a tank fill up

How to replace radiator in 2006 Jaguar

if a X type then you take the front of the car off ,its not difficult and should take less than an hour to remove the bumper but you will need to remove the AC rad so the gas will need to be safely removed first by a local garage with a AC machine .

Hi
Get the EGR valve checked out, this is a Exhaust Gas Recycler valve, this is what they do sometimes work sometimes dont. it basically re-uses any unburnt fuel and forces it back into the engine, when they start to fail you normally only get about 4000 rpm, as this is not constant it may just be dirty, loacte the part remove it and clean it with carb cleaner, if you need more info please let me know and I will talk you through it.

Dan

First thing to do is check the Gas level in the AC , as if it is a little low it will do that.

Hello
Definitely the battery has a big role in Jaguar cars, as Jaguar cars are very sensitive when it comes to battery.
You never go less than specified , going a little higher is ok but not lower
