Check both key slots on the outside of the door. The slots need to be straight up and down. If this doesn't help then the problem is in one of the switches inside the door

Need to take out a fuse for electrical doors

Removal of the 10A BODY fuse in the instrument panel junction block will disable the front door lock switches and removal of the 20A LOCKS fuse will disable the unlock/lock relays. Make sure you can control manual locking and unlocking afterwards.

The Driver's side door of our 1996 Saturn Stationwagon won't catch when you close the door. In otherwords, if I drove the car, I can close the door but it doesn't catch and therefore the door...

first make sure the bolts which hold the latch mechanism to the door are firmly screwed in. if that ain't it, remove the post which it clamps onto from the door jamb and switch it with one from a back door. close the back door firmly, lock it and never use it again. if that ain't it go to www.getsaturnparts.com and buy yourself a new door latch mechanism and pay an auto glass shop to put it in for you.

I need to remove the interior door panel on a 1996 Saturn CR1. The trouble I'm having is getting the door handle and lock off. What is the best way to remove this part without breaking it.

If you look closely, they're may be a screw or two holding these in place that you can't see easily. They may also be covered by a plug. Look closely! If not, there must be clips holding them in place. Buy a manual for your car to assist you in this task. Hayne's Repair Manuals are the best I've used.

Where is the power lock relay for 1996 Saturn SL located. My door lock spoturing and it maybe the cause of battery draw.

The various electrical relays in most cars are in fuse and relay boxes located under the hood. There are usually diagrams on top or underneath the boxes which show what each component does.

1996 saturn door locks have stopped working on the inside

If they are electric locks, you could have a bad switch in the drivers door.  I had a similar problem.  The locks made a noise from time to time like they were rapidly locking and unlocking for 5 seconds at a time.  I replaced the toggle switch (lock/unlock) in the door and that fixed the problem.

Problem with all door lock/unlock and dome light.

open the fuse box on the passenger side of the console. Check all the fuses. Also there is a fuse box under the hood I believe on the driver side. check all these fuses also. The only other thing to check if your motors are working fine, is the wiring.
